License tagging for Image:Hostess 01.jpg

[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Hostess 01.jpg. Wikipedia gets thousands of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

This is an automated notice by OrphanBot. If you need help on selecting a tag to use, or in adding the tag to the image description, feel free to post a message at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. 12:09, 30 August 2006 (UTC)

[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Hostess 02.jpg. However, the image may soon be deleted unless we can determine the copyright holder and copyright status. The Wikimedia Foundation is very careful about the images included in Wikipedia because of copyright law (see Wikipedia's Copyright policy).

The copyright holder is usually the creator, the creator's employer, or the last person who was transferred ownership rights. Copyright information on images is signified using copyright templates. The three basic license types on Wikipedia are open content, public domain, and fair use. Find the appropriate template in Wikipedia:Image copyright tags and place it on the image page like this: {{TemplateName}}. If you have not already done so please also include the source of the image; in most cases the website where you found it.

Please signify the copyright information and source on any other images you have uploaded or will upload. Remember that images without this important information can be deleted by an administrator. If you have any questions, feel free to contact me, or ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Awyong Jeffrey Mordecai Salleh 03:47, 8 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

{{cite}}

[edit]

Please do not put {{cite}} on dozens of sourced statements. This is a violation of WP:POINT and is considered WP:VANDALISM. -N 19:41, 15 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Please do not delete content from articles on Wikipedia. Your edits do not appear to be constructive and have been reverted. If you would like to experiment, please use Wikipedia:Sandbox for test edits. Thank you. -N 19:46, 15 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

The deletions were accidental. 15-June-07

Nevertheless, putting up "citation needed" on dozens of sourced statement is no more acceptable.--Ramdrake 20:15, 15 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

The image is great!

[edit]

I see you got a bunch of 'bot messages about copyright. Don't let it get ya down, I've been here five years and I still can't figure it out. So let me just say, thanks for adding it! Really, Hostess isn't easy to find, I didn't think we'd see anything in that article. Now if only I can find someone that stashed some of the fruit flavor ones... Luckily I live next door to a discount grocery store that sells Hostess. It sucks that they're relegated to being the cheap chips, but they are still my favourite. I have a picture of the backs of the bags that I might also add. June 23 2007

List items with no page

[edit]

Is it possible to have defunct stores listed that do not yet have a page? There are two missing from the list: ...it store Den for Men

These were novelty item stores, though Den for Men leaned more towards fun office decorations like mini pool tables and little sand traps with tiny rakes. Ferkner (talk) 03:12, 22 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]
