DYK for Tammy Wynette
[edit]On 8 November 2022, Did you know was updated with a fact from the article Tammy Wynette, which you recently created, substantially expanded, or brought to good article status. The fact was ... that Tammy Wynette once toured on a bus labeled "Mr. and Mrs. Country Music" with her husband George Jones? The nomination discussion and review may be seen at Template:Did you know nominations/Tammy Wynette. You are welcome to check how many pageviews the nominated article or articles got while on the front page (here's how, Tammy Wynette), and if they received a combined total of at least 416.7 views per hour (i.e., 5,000 views in 12 hours or 10,000 in 24), the hook may be added to the statistics page. Finally, if you know of an interesting fact from another recently created article, then please feel free to suggest it on the Did you know talk page.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated files}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the file's talk page.

- @Jax 0677: Studio albums that made charting positions on Billboard along with charting Billboard singles are generally considered notable. Just because they're not referenced doesn't make them any less notable. I made this album page years and years ago back when I didn't know much references or what good writing looked like. When you come across one of my old pages that look like this, I strongly suggest you would do the following. Add at least one reference to the page (it's not that hard to just type it in on Google) and then notify me that the page needs more references. Then, I would be happy to add more to the old content versus pinging a "proposed deletion" tag to the page, which doesn't make sense for a page like this. Thanks. Sloppy work at Della
[edit]Don't remove well-cited text when you jump in to expand an article. At Della (album), you removed a bunch of excellent analysis and context taken from the Will Friedwald book. If you don't have access to the book, you should trust the people who did have access before you arrived. Binksternet (talk) 04:38, 16 December 2024 (UTC)
- @Binksternet: I did in fact read this and have access but I guess I missed it. Additionally, I do not appreciate that language you used to criticize my edits. There is a more professional way to respond to what you noticed. People make mistakes and it happens on occasion. ChrisTofu11961 (talk) 16:07, 16 December 2024 (UTC)
- You wrote that the album "received mixed by newspapers, magazines and websites following its release." Mixed what? Certainly you meant mixed reviews, but most reviews were positive, so "mixed" is not an accurate summary. And websites in 1960? The second disc doesn't have "outtakes", it just has Della rehearsing the songs and talking to her producers. Outtakes are something else.
- I have noticed in over multiple articles that you are in the habit of telling the reader how many tracks are on an album, sometimes how many are on each side, none of which is important to the narrative. Your writing style contains short sentences with too much repetition. Binksternet (talk) 16:44, 16 December 2024 (UTC)
- @Binksternet: I recognize that I could do a better job proofreading my edits and I am always working to change that. However, I find my edits beneficial especially when articles lack significant references and specific about albums. Sure, my writing might be repetitive, but is not always. And this is just your opinion, not fact. And you if you have a problem with my writing, simply, go in and rework my edits rather than write scathing messages to me online. I would find your opinions more credible if you were actually adding something of value to an article, such as adding a paragraph. Rather it appears that you police users about word choice, grammar and appear to be rather nitpicky about small edits. ChrisTofu11961 (talk) 00:21, 17 December 2024 (UTC)
- Four years ago I expanded the Della album article with the text that you ended up removing,[1] which is why I responded in such a salty manner. I have quite a bit of article building in my editing history, including four featured articles, three of which I started from scratch. Binksternet (talk) 00:40, 17 December 2024 (UTC)
- Not recently at all.
- Anyways, my point is this is a volunteer website. We all come with different strengths and we do what we can to make an article better. Had you attempted to be more approachable about my edits I would not have reacted this way. All I am saying is consider the way you approach conversations with users. Not everyone is out to vandalize or harm. ChrisTofu11961 (talk) 01:03, 17 December 2024 (UTC)
