Speedy deletion nomination of User:Wikirating
[edit]You may also wish to consider using a Wizard to help you create articles. See the Article Wizard.
Thank you.
A tag has been placed on User:Wikirating, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article seems to be unambiguous advertising that only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become an encyclopedia article. Please read the general criteria for speedy deletion, particularly item 11, as well as the guidelines on spam.
If you can indicate why the subject of this article is not blatant advertising, you may contest the tagging. To do this, please add {{hangon}}
on the top of User:Wikirating and leave a note on the article's talk page explaining your position. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would help make it encyclopedic, as well as adding any citations from independent reliable sources to ensure that the article will be verifiable. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. Mean as custard (talk) 11:18, 11 January 2011 (UTC)
User Page
[edit]Hi, and thanks for your message; If you look at our guidelines here you'll see what is generally accepted on user pages; specifically that it is only limited general information. As a further note I'm a little concerned about your signature coming from the Wikirating "team". Please note that role accounts used by more than one person are generally not acceptable and could be blocked. Please feel free to ask if I can help further. Pedro : Chat 13:15, 11 January 2011 (UTC)
- Hi Pedro, thank you for your help. I (= Dorian) will use this account alone, there will be no other person. Further on, my signature from now simply is "Wikirating". Cheers, Dorian --Wikirating (talk) 14:47, 11 January 2011 (UTC)

Misleading user name
[edit]Welcome to Wikipedia and thank you for your contributions. However, I noticed that your username (Wikirating) may not meet Wikipedia's username policy because it is a misleading username that implies a position of authority over Wikipedia in violation of the Wikipedia:Username policy, and has indicated more than one person controls this account. If you believe that your username does not violate our policy, please leave a note here explaining why. As an alternative, you may ask for a change of username, or you may simply create a new account and use that for editing. Thank you. ~Amatulić (talk) 18:46, 12 January 2011 (UTC)
- Hi Amatulić. Thank you for your message. This account is only controlled by me - see my personal Email adress which consists of my first and my familyname. Nevertheless, since Wikirating is indeed an open project for credit ratings (with a very smiliar purpose like Wikipedia) I realize that this username does not meet Wikipedia's username policy. So if you do not mind, please change my username in dorian - my real first name (as far as I have seen, the prior person now uses the username dori). Thank you! --Wikirating (talk) 19:58, 12 January 2011 (UTC)
- The relevant policy subsection is WP:ORGNAME. You're not allowed to edit under a username that is the name of a company, organisation or, in your case, website. Admins, however, don't have the ability to change usernames. You'll need to go to WP:CHU to request that a bureaucrat change it for you.
