Image Usage
Hi Diniz. I'm working on the 1997 Australian grand prix and i'm not sure about the rules on using images and whether they are copyrighted or not. I don't know of any images that i could use so i was going to use the image on the 'Mastercard Lola' page but i'm not sure if this is allowed. Can you help? Eddie6705 21:29, 2 August 2007 (UTC)

Re:We Will rock You
Hello again, and thanks for showing an interest in one of my productions! :-) However, the production I am going to be in is actuallyn going to be held in the Oswaldtwistle Civic Theatre, in Oswaldtwistle, near Accrington in Lancashire. It is being put on by Accrington Theatre Group and will be staged in November of this year. For more information, visit www.accringtontg.co.uk (you can also type Accrington Theatre Group into Google). Cheers, Lradrama 14:41, 4 August 2007 (UTC)

Brabham results
Hi - sorry for the delay in responding. We have just moved into a new flat, with all the disruption that involves! This morning for example I'm trying to get my hands on a replacement for the tiny piece of plastic that has broken inside the kitchen tap, which probably costs about 10p, in order to avoid having to pay £50 for a whole new tap. Fun fun fun.....
Thanks so much for the full results table: I take it you worked from the list of works drivers for each year in the article as it currently is? If so, your more complete table should be fine, but I will check against my sources to be double sure. Cheers. 4u1e 09:12, 13 August 2007 (UTC)
- Blimey - a thorough job! Depending on what you're doing at university I've often thought that Wikipedia could be quite a good learning tool: in the sense that you could find a topic you're supposed to be learning and improve the article on it up to FA status, which would mean you'd probably learned a fair amount about it yourself! On the other hand, you may find yourself 'busy' in the union bar quite a lot of the time as well! Cheers. 4u1e 15:50, 13 August 2007 (UTC)
- P.S. tap not going so well. Ended up with the £50 option :(
Thanks / Lap Charts
Hi Diniz. First of all thank you for the newcomer award! Glad to see my edits are appreciated; I joined only two months ago but am a long time f1 fan like yourself, and WP:F1 is proving to be quite addictive :)
I'm working on the 1999 season race reports and noticed that you added the lap chart to the 1999 San Marino Grand Prix. Good job - but as far as I can tell this is the only one around (?) I've been experimenting with different formats and background colors, and I'm planning to add some more lap charts to the '99 season later.
It takes time to create these things and I'm just curious if there have been any discussions about lap charts in the past. If you ask me, I think it's worth the effort: it contains a lot of information and once you get the colors right it looks pretty cool too. Don't think there will many volunteers for the editing job though :) Thanks again. Bobby Doorknobs 19:42, 13 August 2007 (UTC)
Brabham results
Hi mate. Just going through the Brabham table of results, and I've encountered an issue (not a problem!) already. There are (at least!) two alternative ways of recording results for 'Brabham' in these early years:
- All results scored for the constructor Brabham. (Two problems: Firstly, the table will be big for the early years, because in the mid 1960s there were up to seven cars per race, and the team doing the entry would have to be specified. Secondly, in some seasons more than one engine type was used, so Brabham appears several times in the constructors championship (i.e. Brabham-Repco, Brabham-Climax, Brabham-Ford, all for the same year) This option is probably quite a lot more work.
- All results scored by the Brabham team (Two problems: Firstly that occasionally in 1962 and 1963 Jack Brabham was entered by BRO in various Lotuses, Secondly that in some years other teams using Brabhams scored constructors' championship points for Brabham. Both problems mean that the points 'scored' by the Brabham team do not equate to the points scored by Brabham the constructor. In reality it's only the constructor that counts, there is no 'teams' championship)
Exactly the same issue applies to the less detailed table I did in the Brabham article, but it's more obvious in your fuller version because of the extra detail. I'll post this at WPF1 as well - any thoughts on which way to go? 4u1e 16:05, 16 August 2007 (UTC)

F3000 results tables
Hi Diniz. Good work on the F3000 results tables you've been adding recently. Just a thought: have you considered swapping the order of the "Pts" and "DC" columns, to make them match the F1 results tables (and most of the Champ Car results tables I've seen too)? Flickr images
I've had some success with getting flickr users to change licence. I've found the best one to ask for is CC-BY-SA (Attribution Share-Alike) as that is the licence compatible with Wikipedia that allows the most rights to be kept by the author. It works best to be open about it, so tell why you want the licence changed, and explain what it means. Hope that is of some help. AlexJ 09:45, 24 September 2007 (UTC)

"NC"
Hi! I noticed your edit summary at Forti and you said that non-scorers were not classified back in 1995. Do you, by any chance, know when non-scorers started to be classified in the WCC? Also, for that matter, the WDC? Thanks :) Bretonbanquet 20:08, 24 October 2007 (UTC)
- Thanks, that would make sense - that's more or less when I remember it, but my brain is fuzzy these days :( haha... I'm also without all my motorsport books till Christmas, so I feel your pain! All the best. Bretonbanquet 21:23, 24 October 2007 (UTC)
- Thanks! The change certainly seems to have been made around that time, and I'm still looking for a definitive source, but these are a great help. We shall get there in the end! :D Bretonbanquet 21:45, 3 December 2007 (UTC)
2008 F1 Teams/Drivers template
I must contest although I'm new in terms of editing a bank of drivers that are essentially in the balance would be very helpful. Although everyone who watches the sport knows that Alonso is yet to be confirmed and that Schumacher is also seeking a seat elsewhere the additional people such as GP2 drivers likely to enter should be listed.
I admit that another problem with this is that the drivers that stand a chance of getting a drive is debatable. Yet there is no harm in listing them especially if given note that these are simply the most likely to be acquiring drives based on the previous season and up to date news reports. This keeps their name in the article until things are confirmed or they don't get a drive at all. The list I made was accurate to much research and was added to by another member who I was able to agree with. Names would have to be backed up with evidence for sure.
You've obviously done this before but I hope you're open to new ideas.
Thanks!
Tom Castellani
