If you look closely, none of the sub-articles have links within them, however they are realiable links at the bottom of his page, including one for the He-Man and She-Ra blog. I seperated the infomation from the 'Time Life' portion as it has nothing to do with Time Life and is seperate from James' work on The Real Ghostbusters; Region 1 DVD releases. If you wish, you can include links to the links on the page if you wish, but please understand that others (not just me) have done the same thing. — Preceding unsigned comment added by David31584 (talk • contribs) 22:55, 21 February 2011 (UTC)

Double Standard application by user Corvus cornix
[edit]This user, posted on the front page discussion that I was violating personal attack rules. This is right. But what was also right, he was exercising double standards. This is because I was defending myself against someone that explicitly, clearly and unequivocally said that I blame ALL wikipedians to be Fascists. He never said that to him. He let him attacking me. --Leladax (talk) 07:15, 18 December 2010 (UTC)
- I should add, that this was also done by someone else below him. Someone else try to find "evidence" that I blame ALL wikipedians to be fascist. He never said anything to him either. I suppose, to be allowed here to do personal attacks, act like a gang and destroy discussion with bullying, you have to be "polite" about it. Just how the British Empire would slaughter people in African Colonies. "But we are polite at least!". Hypocrites. --Leladax (talk) 07:18, 18 December 2010 (UTC)

Reviewer granted
[edit]Hello. Your account has been granted the "reviewer" userright, allowing you to review other users' edits on certain flagged pages. Pending changes, also known as flagged revisions, underwent a two-month trial which ended on 15 August 2010. Its continued use is still being discussed by the community, you are free to participate in such discussions. Many articles still have pending changes protection applied, however, and the ability to review pending changes continues to be of use.
Reviewers can review edits made by users who are not autoconfirmed to articles placed under level 1 pending changes and edits made by non-reviewers to level 2 pending changes protected articles (usually high traffic articles). Pending changes was applied to only a small number of articles, similarly to how semi-protection is applied but in a more controlled way for the trial. The list of articles with pending changes awaiting review is located at Special:OldReviewedPages.
For the guideline on reviewing, see Wikipedia:Reviewing. Being granted reviewer rights doesn't grant you status nor change how you can edit articles even with pending changes. The general help page on pending changes can be found here, and the general policy for the trial can be found here.

Iskra Research page / Information that may be deleted
[edit]I wrote on the discussion board: Intended addendum to Vadim Rogovin and Nadezhda Joffe pages. Latter page mentions this organization but leads to dead link, former page should probably mention this organization, as it is the sole publisher in the author's native language, nevertheless, fact was removed on Rogovin's page. Recommend merge with another page in event new page seems excessive (i.e, in some capacity to the Rogovin page, which already cites books from this organization).
As you can see I would like to add information about Rogovin's publisher (who is used already as a source for his own page). But when I began this it was marked as Spam by yourself.

Hey there! Thanks for leaving me a note on my talk page about the speedy deletion of exscientologykids.com. May I suggest that you perhaps take this to AfD instead? It's just that the website was created by three people who are currently seen as notable in their own rights (AfD pending of course) and has been mentioned in multiple reliable sources. To me that asserts significance if not notability. Let me know if you disagree! Always happy to be corrected. PanydThe muffin is not subtle 01:45, 3 January 2011 (UTC)

Milly y Molly
[edit]Milly y Molly is the TV series based on the books by a New Zealand author; but the TV series is produced in Singapore. The TV series, as broadcast in the Caribbean, carries Spanish language episode titles with English audio. I got many translations of the Spanish-titled episodes from other sites online. The first few paragraphs of the article, up to the 1st footnote, represent a direct quote from the referenced site, that is why I put the reference address. The article, Milly y Molly (TV), was meant to be a direct link from the Milly Molly (books) article, not replace it. I was in the midst of tidying up the link description between "Milly Molly" and "Milly y Molly" when I noted that "Milly y Molly" disappeared and I saw your query. Will you please restore my Milly y Molly article. Wikifood (talk) 14:36, 3 January 2011 (UTC)

[edit]Hi Corvus,
Thanks for your comment. As suggested, I have referenced Anka Wolbert but the page is now down. Can you explain why? Please note I did not start Anka Wolbert. Last night, the Clan Of Xymox article was heavily edited (not by me!) and a paragraph referring to Pieter Nooten's solo career and Anka Wolbert's solo career was taken out. Two new pages were then created for Pieter Nooten and Anka Wolbert. I received messages on my Userpage saying Anka Wolbert needed more reliable references which I provided. Anka Wolbert (talk) 22:27, 3 January 2011 (UTC)
- Hey Corvus, if you could provide a bit more detail (on her talk page) about what the article did and did not have, I would appreciate it. I could do that too, but I don't want to speak for you. Spare her a few minutes for an explanation. Thanks, Drmies (talk) 23:37, 3 January 2011 (UTC)

[edit]Re your post at WP:ANI#Is User:Thebooze a spam account?, although it has been closed as stating that Themfromspace will contact Thebooze, as you raised the issue at ANI, I think you should gently point Thebooze towards the relevant policies and guidelines. Administrative action is not needed at the moment because the editor in question has not been shown that they may be doing something wrong, and thus cannot be said to have continued to do wrong having been told that they were doing wrong. I've not looked at their contributions and thus am not in a position to make a judgement, but will say that opening a discussion with the editor is a first port of call. Refusal to discuss issues raised is something that can be acted upon. Mjroots (talk) 10:29, 11 January 2011 (UTC)

[edit]I happened on what you said about the Palin articles at a noticeboard - I saw no 'repeated tirades' - if you seriously care about NPOV you should look critically at edits . I don't know what your politics are - I have an idea obviously - but if you care about NPOV, you should not say an editor who is responding to a request is launching 'endless tirades', and generally trying to intimidate others with exaggerated claims. RfC/U
[edit]In theory, at least, an RfC/U is supposed to be a forum where editors can air legitimate grievances and seek to resolve them with the editor in question and the community. They're not binding, so even if the desired outcome states that they want the editor banished from Wikipedia for eternity, there's nothing that can be done about it. May I suggest presenting your own view in the RfC and assume that those who disagree with you are trying to act in the interests of the project, much as I have no doubt you are. Thanks, HJ Mitchell | Penny for your thoughts? 22:04, 14 January 2011 (UTC)

well, they said the discussion was opened in January 30, 2011, and that already the result was "keep," however I can find no discussion, and also can not find any notable reason to keep the page, except merely as an advertisement of the artist and band. [edit]The Featured Sound Main Page Proposal Voter Barnstar | ||
I was truly humbled by the overwhelming community support for the recent proposal to place featured sounds on the main page. The proposal closed on Tuesday with 57 people in support and only 2 in opposition. It should take a few weeks for everything to get coded and tested, and once that is done the community will be presented with a mock up to assess on aesthetic appeal. Finally, I invite all of you to participate in the featured sounds process itself. Whether you're a performer, an uploader, or just come across a sound file you find top quality, and that meets the featured sound criteria, you can nominate it at Wikipedia:Featured sound candidates. Featured sounds is also looking for people to help assess candidates (also at Wikipedia:Featured sound candidates.)
Thanks again for such a strong showing of support, and I hope to see you at featured sounds in the future. |
