Can you provide verification that Image:Upskirt21.jpg is actually taken with the subject's permission? The norm for amateur sex-related pics is to take the same photograph with the subject holding a written statement like "Posting of this picture allowed on Wikipedia", or even simply "Wikipedia Ok". This would prove both copyright ownership and authorisation to post, and we could keep the 2nd picture as proof while posting the other original.
- It is not the norm, merely what ultra-conservatives (or worse reasons perhaps? wanting to get the feeling of control by requiring a girl to do what they say) on wikipedia frequently ask for (and rarely ever get). Mathmo Talk 05:19, 14 December 2006 (UTC)
This is not the only means, but it might be the easiest.
Note that we need permission specificly to post this on Wikipedia. Proof that this woman gave you permission to take the picture is not adequate.
Not having this statement exposes Wikipedia to potential problems when the copyright owner or unwilling subject finds the image posted. It also potentially runs us afoul of the Child Protection and Obscenity Enforcement Act. — edgarde 05:34, 30 October 2006 (UTC)
- I'm not sure there are permission/privacy issues here, because the photo is not of an individually identifiable subject. Similarly, it's not even remotely sexually explicit, nor does it even feature nudity. Can you point out what Wikipedia policies or guidelines would be involved here? Thanks, --MCB 00:58, 6 November 2006 (UTC)
- I agree with MCB's above comments, if that photo is wrong then what next? You wouldn't allow a photo of me with my top button undone of my top because it would be to "sexually explicit"?! Mathmo Talk 05:19, 14 December 2006 (UTC)
- Wikipedia:Wikipedia_Signpost/2006-09-05/Publicgirluk might lead you to some answers. I was acting on third hand advice. (Sorry for this late reply, but I didn't have this info handy, and then forgot to come back to this page later.)
- Publicgirluk was hopefully a lesson for everybody not to treat editors so shamefully as she was when images are uploaded. Mathmo Talk 05:19, 14 December 2006 (UTC)
- Since both images have been removed in the interim, I guess it's no longer urgent. — edgarde 18:25, 20 November 2006 (UTC)
