Block on User:Smartie960

[edit]

Hi. Your sister, User:Smartie960 has been blocked forever by User:Steel359 for a not quite accurate reason and has deleted her userpage and autograph book... Just wanted to keep you informed... TomasBat (@)(Contribs)(Sign!) 00:10, 22 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I am blocked 2! Can you unblock me? ♥Chocolate♥ Munch- Crunch

Your request to be unblocked has been granted for the following reason(s):

Autoblock of 24.211.137.140 lifted. Mangojuicetalk 03:47, 23 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Request handled by: Mangojuicetalk 03:47, 23 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Well, actually she can´t do much, but there are several options...

  • She can continue to plead on her talk page to administrators to please umblock her and give her one last chance...
  • She can create a new account...
  • She can enter another wiki where socializing and collecting signatures is accepted (e.g: [1] and [2])...

TomasBat (@)(Contribs)(Sign!)

Well, know that your sister was umblocked was created, I suggest that your sister uses the old account again instead of the new one... Also, be very carefull with your edits to signature books and stuff like that and your edits to the encyclopedia, start editing more; if you don´t know what to edit, then you could make use of SuggestBot, a robot account which recommends you articles in which you might be interested to edit. As for Infocentral, yes, I am a co-founder. TomasBat (@)(Contribs)(Sign!) 18:18, 24 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

As for your sister using a new account, I suppose it would be okay know as long as she likes the new name, of course. TomasBat (@)(Contribs)(Sign!) 18:21, 24 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Hey, you might be interested in following this link:[3]; it is a link to an edit count. This way, you will be able to control the rate of your unencyclopediac edits and your encyclopediac edits, to avoid being blocked because of not contributing much to the encyclopedia. TomasBat (@)(Contribs)(Sign!) 18:48, 24 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Im glad the edit-count helped... Also, you fooled me alright! TomasBat (@)(Contribs)(Sign!) 18:54, 24 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Adminship

[edit]

What main qualifications do we need to become administrators. Not that I want to become one, I was just asking. ♥Chocolate♥ Munch- Crunch 23:57, 23 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

In order to become an administrator, you must nominate yourself or have someone else nominate you as administrator at Wikipedia:Requests for Adminship and you must gain more support votes than oppose votes. It isn very easy... I want to become one too, but I will have to certanly edit more before aplying... TomasBat (@)(Contribs)(Sign!) 17:39, 24 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

No probemO! As for the block on your sister, I will try to convince Steel359 to umblock your sister and give her one last chance. TomasBat (@)(Contribs)(Sign!) 17:46, 24 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Welcome!

[edit]

Hey there, ChocolateLover96 and welcome to our great encyclopedia which currently has more than 6,917,624 articles! Thank you for your contributions. If you decide that you need help, check out Wikipedia:Where to ask a question, ask me on my talk page, or place {{helpme}} on your talk page and ask your question there. Please remember to sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically produce your name and the date. You may also push the signature button located above the edit window. Finally, please do your best to always fill in the edit summary field. This is considered an important guideline in Wikipedia. Even a short summary is better than no summary. Below are some pages to facilitate your involvement. Happy editing! > Kamope < 15:28, 24 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

The encyclopedia

[edit]

Consider this a warning. Wikipedia is not about userboxes and signature books, and you are not contributing to the encyclopedia any more than your sister. I have given her another chance to start contributing properly, I suggest you do as well. – Steel 18:02, 24 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

The link...

[edit]

Yes, it does work, but I wasn't fooled by your messagebox. I use WP:NAVPOP, which allows me to look at a page before clicking on the link. I recommend that you stop asking users to visit that link, as some may consider it spam. Have a nice day! --Cremepuff222 (talk, review me!) 19:36, 24 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Don't feel bad! I remember that when I was first a Wikipedian, I would occasionally post messages on random peoples' page asking for his or her signature! Luckily, someone warned me that I could get blocked for doing this, and now I don't even include a link to my autograph book in my signature. We all should learn from our mistakes! --Cremepuff222 (talk, review me!) 19:39, 24 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Umm, did you just reorder my whole talk page? --Cremepuff222 (talk, review me!) 20:06, 24 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Your user page works. Also, I have seen to many false talk pages to fall for your false talk page. Nice try. Captain panda In vino veritas 20:53, 24 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Just kidding. --Cremepuff222 (talk, review me!) 21:26, 24 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Also, I fixed that userbox of mine on your userbox page. You have to have the first letter of the color uppercase. --Cremepuff222 (talk, review me!) 21:29, 24 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

RE:hey

[edit]

The # of articles section is correct, however I did not fall for the prank new-messages header (I have popups ;-)  ~Steptrip You raise me up 21:30, 24 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Response

[edit]

The reason autoblocks (like you got caught in) exist is so that really problematic users can't register lots of accounts and just switch from one to another when one gets blocked. It's possible in blocking to turn autoblocking off, but it's rarely done. Usually, autoblocks that result in collateral damage get dealt with quickly. Anyway, happy editing! I know not to get all caught up in that stuff, but how does it look?
