Deletion pending for File:Cameron Museum of Art Exhbition of Field Study.jpg

[edit]

Hello, Camo1955. Some time ago, a file you uploaded — File:Cameron Museum of Art Exhbition of Field Study.jpg — was tagged with {{OTRS pending}}, indicating that you (or perhaps the copyright holder if you did not create this image) submitted a statement of permission to permissions-en@wikimedia.org. Though there is often a backlog processing messages received at this address, we should have received your message by now.

  • If you have not submitted (or forwarded) a statement of permission, please send it immediately to permissions-en@wikimedia.org and let us know at the OTRS noticeboard that you have done so.
  • If you have already sent this message, it is possible that there was a problem receiving it. Please re-send it to permissions-en@wikimedia.org and let us know at the OTRS noticeboard that you have done so.

If we don't hear from you within one week, the file will be deleted. If we can help you, please feel free to ask at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. --B-bot (talk) 14:38, 3 June 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Tags and COI

[edit]

Hello! I put the blp sources tag back on Terrel James as the personal life section has no sources. Since you seem to have been editing only this page for several years, please let us know if you have a connection to the subject, are the subject or know the subject.ThatMontrealIP (talk) 17:24, 18 February 2020 (UTC)[reply]

COI

[edit]

Thanks for disclosing that you are Terrel James' spouse. It would have been good to tell us that a few years ago when you started working on the article, but better late than never. Spouses are probably the least desired kind of editor for an article, as we strive for neutrality and you are obviously not neutral. Per the COI policy, you can make only very minor factual edits to the article. Anything significant needs to be done via the request edit template. The best thing for the neutrality of the wiki is probably for you to stay away from your spouse's article from here on in, and let truly uninvolved editors take care of the page. That said, you are entirely welcome to edit any of the five million articles on the wiki that you are not personally related to. I will post the standard info for COI next.ThatMontrealIP (talk) 21:08, 18 February 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Managing a conflict of interest

[edit]

Information icon Hello, Camo1955. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places or things you have written about in the page Terrell James, you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a conflict of interest may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic. See the conflict of interest guideline and FAQ for organizations for more information. We ask that you:

  • avoid editing or creating articles about yourself, your family, friends, colleagues, company, organization or competitors;
  • propose changes on the talk pages of affected articles (you can use the {{request edit}} template);
  • disclose your conflict of interest when discussing affected articles (see Wikipedia:Conflict of interest#How to disclose a COI);
  • avoid linking to your organization's website in other articles (see WP:Spam);
  • do your best to comply with Wikipedia's content policies.

In addition, you are required by the Wikimedia Foundation's terms of use to disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution which forms all or part of work for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation. See Wikipedia:Paid-contribution disclosure.

Also, editing for the purpose of advertising, publicising, or promoting anyone or anything is not permitted. Thank you. ThatMontrealIP (talk) 21:09, 18 February 2020 (UTC)[reply]
