The article Thirst (upcoming film) has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
Non notable future film, fails WP:NFF as production isn't notable. Should be deleted or moved to draftspace until released and then notability can be established.
While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}}
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Donaldd23 (talk) 20:40, 3 May 2021 (UTC)

Missing sources
[edit]Hey, I'm noticing a lot of articles you are creating/moving to mainspace have only a single article source. The Variety production update website is not necessarily an indication of notability as it seems to be just a database of information. Also, it appears that you are pulling cast and character names from IMDb, which is not okay. Please do not add content without proper sourcing. BOVINEBOY2008 00:57, 9 May 2021 (UTC)
- I strike part of my concern, I see now that you are probably pulling from the Variety page as well. BOVINEBOY2008 01:00, 9 May 2021 (UTC)
- @Bovineboy2008: you may be right about the Variety Insight links, but keep in mind that it is not just a database like IMDb because shoot start and end dates are specified and sometimes they have a brief introduction explaining the books or novels on which they are based, in addition to the fact that unlike IMDb or Wikipedia it cannot be edited by any Internet user.
Regarding your accusation that I use names extracted from IMDb is totally false, since you told me two months ago that names and characters extracted from IMDb should not be used, I no longer do it, I get them from Variety Insight that how already I told you it cannot be modified by anyone, only by paid people who work in that company.Bruno Vargas Eñe'ẽ avec moi 01:09, 9 May 2021 (UTC)- My concern is that being listed there is not an indication of Notability. You are creating many articles that (in my view) do not have significant coverage as indicated by WP:GNG. Yes, the film title is mentioned by two websites, but I don't believe Variety Insight's listing should count towards that. A lot of times, I can find other sources out there which you should try to include, but sometimes not. Can you please try to keep articles in draft space not just until the date the filming is supposed to have begun has past, but once the topic has significant coverage. BOVINEBOY2008 01:14, 9 May 2021 (UTC)
- @Bovineboy2008: you're right, I have no problem following your recommendation as I have previously done. I will wait for the films in question to have more coverage and notability before moving them. Greetings Bruno Vargas Eñe'ẽ avec moi 01:18, 9 May 2021 (UTC)

Assume good faith
[edit]Make sure to assume WP:GOODFAITH when it comes to AfD and other deletion nominations. In most cases it's not a case of retribution or dislike. Now while I have noticed that several of your articles have been nominated, I have also noticed that many of them have issues with coverage and notability. Many of them fall within the WP:TOOSOON zone where they have only a brief amount of coverage that spans a small point in time.
Films can be fairly difficult to write about on Wikipedia, to be honest. Proving that a production is notable enough to warrant an article is hard, as this often requires a lot of coverage that not only covers an extended period of time but also goes into some depth. This coverage must also be in multiple outlets and in places Wikipedia would see as reliable. The vast majority of films won't have this coverage, particularly anything that would be considered "niche" such indies, horror, and so on. There are only so many outlets that will cover films in general and far, far more films to be covered.
This is one of my favorite areas to edit/create in and as such, I can understand the frustration of the sourcing limitations. I've had multiple occasions where I've wanted to create an article on something, only to find that there's just not enough coverage - or had someone tell me that there weren't enough sources for an article on which I was working. It is never meant to be personal, just that the article needed more sourcing. It's why I tend to leave articles in my userspace until the coverage is heavy enough. For the majority this will mean that they only have an article after it's released and has received reviews.
As far as someone following your edits, don't assume that it's a case of retribution. It may be that they noticed an article of yours that lacked enough sourcing to pass NFF/NFILM and looked at your other articles, then noticed similar articles. That doesn't mean that they're hounding you per se. I personally think that it's better to reach out to the article creator to let them know what needs to be fixed before nominating, but that's not an absolute rule. If in question, it's best to reach out to the editor on their talk page to discuss the deletion. Don't assume that this is an attack or retribution against you. This can sometimes have a bit of a backlash and can also put people on guard when coming into articles. Now if you do have evidence that the person is hounding you and that they're not responding to civil discussions, you should bring this up to WP:ANI. Retirement
[edit]I'm sorry that you feel like you need to leave. I wish you wouldn't go - I like that you feel passionately about film and want to contribute. You have some rough spots that need to be worked on. This is something that all of us on Wikipedia have gone through at one point or another, as Wikipedians are grown, not born. I too went through some rough spots where I felt extremely frustrated. Shucks, I still go through this as there is always something new to learn on Wikipedia. Sometimes I've admitted that what I was doing didn't fall within Wikipedia guidelines and sometimes I haven't. In the times that I haven't, I've tried to improve and in some cases, tried to make a valid argument towards improving policy at the applicable WikiProject or policy page. Admittedly the process of improving or changing parts of policy is very difficult but I do seem to learn something new at each discussion.
My point is basically that Wikipedia is a learning process that can in turn be fun, tedious, or outright unpleasant depending on the situation. All I can recommend in the times where it's very frustrating and seems unpleasant is to try to keep a cool head and learn what you can from the situation. It may be necessary to back away and work in different areas, taking some time to lick your wounds and get more familiar with the entire process. Something I can recommend personally is improving existing articles and if you are fluent in another language (or fluent in Google Translate), work on translating articles to or from other language Wikipedias. If you want, I also have a list of films that need articles but haven't gotten around to making. I tend to gravitate more towards horror films, but this seems like it's an area of interest to you as well. Basically, if it's in that list and has sourcing under it, it's a notable film. Not all of them are American films either - many are from other countries and/or are fairly indie. ReaderofthePack(formerly Tokyogirl79) (。◕‿◕。) 20:25, 17 May 2021 (UTC)
