[edit]No worries at all, I learned the same rule you did, although the MOS guidance also makes sense to me. I’m completely neutral as to whether spelling out all of them would look better. I do think having "4" and "2" as numerals in a text sentence seems a little weird, but then I also feel like "twelve" is for the same reason.
