Information icon Hello, I'm OXYLYPSE. I wanted to let you know that I removed one or more external links you added to the main body of South Wales Metro. Generally, any relevant external links should be listed in an "External links" section at the end of the article and meet the external links guidelines. Links within the body of an article should be internal wikilinks. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. OXYLYPSE (talk) 15:34, 28 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Not sure of editing protocols. I do know that there are quite a few errors/omissions on the Wiki page for the South Wales Metro. Please feel free to use my book as a source so you can update if you want. https://cardiffmetro.wales Thnx R Mark Barrymarkd (talk) 15:43, 28 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Note I have again removed the link to your site. I recommend you gain consensus on the talk page, as you may have a conflict of interest. OXYLYPSE (talk) 20:35, 11 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]
What conflict of interest? It is in the public interest that my narrative (which is a unique primary source) of the metro story is shared. Pls revert your edit. There is no other more accurate source available. Barrymarkd (talk) 20:57, 11 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I feel that adding your own website to an article could constitute a conflict and that you should raise this as a discussion on the talk page instead. OXYLYPSE (talk) 21:12, 11 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]
why don't you add it. No conflict then (which i dispute)....as i said this is a unique primary record on a website. Its a resource. I'm not interested in a debate Barrymarkd (talk) 21:19, 11 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Hello, Barrymarkd. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places or things you have written about on the page South Wales Metro, you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a conflict of interest may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic. See the conflict of interest guideline and FAQ for article subjects for more information. We ask that you:

In addition, you are required by the Wikimedia Foundation's terms of use to disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution which forms all or part of work for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation. See Wikipedia:Paid-contribution disclosure.

Also, editing for the purpose of advertising, publicizing, or promoting anyone or anything is not permitted. Thank you. OXYLYPSE (talk) 08:13, 12 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Sorry that makes no sense. Of course I have an interest - the whole south Wales metro project is my idea..and I led the work so I know more than anyone. Pls revert the edit or I will later. R mark 2A00:23EE:1428:5BBD:EFCE:1B92:FA8F:DB41 (talk) 08:34, 12 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]
As you say, the project is your idea. You're being paid to implement the project. You have a clear conflict.
I've created a discussion here instead. You should familiarise yourself with the three revert rule before reverting again. -OXYLYPSE (talk) 09:12, 12 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]
No. There is no conflict..unless you can tell me what I'm conflicting with! I'm not being paid by anyone. Here's a thing the IP around the South Wales metro in effect belongs to me...but more than happy for others like WG to use. Wiki has referred to it, erroneously in some cases. I don't care about pedantry. I will LL be reverting later. I'm not interested in a discussion just in sharing info from a primary source (me) who knows more about the early development than anyone. I also wrote the ccr paper 2A00:23EE:1428:5BBD:EFCE:1B92:FA8F:DB41 (talk) 09:22, 12 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Just about everything you say there demonstrates that you do have a conflict of interest with regard to this subject matter. Either you disclose it, or cease editing in this topic area. And either way, please stop adding external links to your website, as well as promoting your book; this is considered spamming, and may result in you getting blocked. Thank you. -- DoubleGrazing (talk) 09:59, 12 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]
What do you mean disclose...it's self evident that's it's me and I'm happy for that to be made clear. You are making no sense ..and completely missing the point?
Why is me posting a link to a CCR report I wrote different to me posting a link to my book which is a more definitive and accurate sources of much info on the subject 2A00:23EE:1428:5BBD:EFCE:1B92:FA8F:DB41 (talk) 12:02, 12 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]

this is bonkers 2A00:23EE:1320:2441:FCC7:C618:300:2684 (talk) 16:26, 12 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Assuming you are Barrymarkd, please remember to log into your account whenever editing. And now that you have been blocked, you are only allowed to edit this page in order to appeal your block, if that is what you choose to do. Editing logged-out can be considered block evasion. -- DoubleGrazing (talk) 16:36, 12 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]
sorry I don't have the energy or inclunation to deal with such pedantry. In good faith I added a link to my book which is the most authoritative narrative of the early development of the Cardiff capital region metro. I made the book freely available to help others and to help educate. But wiki editors would prefer to maintain a suboptimal site containing material inaccuracies. 2A00:23EE:1320:2441:FCC7:C618:300:2684 (talk) 16:43, 12 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]
No, you're just spamming your book and now you're evading your block. If you wish to be unblocked, log back into your account and make a request. Jauerbackdude?/dude. 16:55, 12 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]
