Esperanza
[edit]Hi there Banes, its Moe Epsilon! I was going over some things on the Esperanza members list and I saw where you removed your name a while back. Why? Why would you quit? — Moe ε 02:22, 4 December 2005 (UTC)
- Oh, I think I get it. I think that edit was me removing you from the current memebers to members on Wikibreak when you went on wikibreak a while back. The most recent edit involving your name was you removing your name from the members on Wikibreak. So I think we just forgot to readd your name to the current members when you came back. I'll readd your name. Sorry for disturbing you. — Moe ε 14:42, 4 December 2005 (UTC)
Meetup
[edit]I'm going to be back in South Africa from 26 December to 25 January. Would be great to meet up with all my fellow South African editors that I have been working with from afar. Want to try to arrange a meet-up of some sorts? User:PZFUN/signature 08:20, 6 December 2005 (UTC)
Check out the Jesus article and edit it to keep it focused on Jesus and a biographical account of Him. Watch the Jesus page to keep it focused on Him. Thank you. Scifiintel 21:39, 6 December 2005 (UTC)
Map
[edit]User:JCarriker is going to try and make a map of South Africa for you to use in the wikiproject I mentioned before...it may have a slightly differnet format, but will probably look the same. Hopefully you're up and running again...let me know what you think.--MONGO 09:55, 7 December 2005 (UTC)
The only difference between this image and the US and Australian images is that this one is a PNG. Other than that I tried to match the style and colors as closely as I could, which required some adjustment (wikipedia makes images darker than they otherwise appear on my monitor). I hope it is accurate enough for your needs. -JCarriker 13:12, 7 December 2005 (UTC)
I'm considering nominating you for adminship. Please let me know if you can think of any great reason why I shouldn't. ;-) --Ryan Delaney talk 14:34, 7 December 2005 (UTC)
I went ahead and created the nomination page. If you choose to accept:
- Go to Wikipedia:Requests_for_adminship/Banes and indicate that you accept the nomination, and fill out the questions.
- Edit this page and add the following text above the most recent nomination:
- {{Wikipedia:Requests for adminship/Banes}} ----
--Ryan Delaney talk 14:42, 7 December 2005 (UTC)
Well, I would encourage you to reconsider since my main reason for nominating you was so that you could use admin rollback for your reverts. If you don't know, admins can revert edits with a single click without having to go into the page history. Until you become comfortable using other admin powers, you could simply be conservative with them until you are sure you know what you are doing. :) At any rate, if you choose to accept the nomination later, feel free to put it up on WP:RFA whenever you like. Cheers --Ryan Delaney talk 14:45, 7 December 2005 (UTC)
Just fyi, my RFA [2] passed when I had barely over 1,800 edits. It's good to see humility though- it means I'll be more strongly supporting your adminship when you decide to accept it. Let me know when you've changed your mind. Cheers --Ryan Delaney talk 15:03, 7 December 2005 (UTC)
page protection
[edit]Hi! We need you to protect the page. According to the Wiki's rules[[3]], that Wikipedia is not a propaganda machine I ask you to look at the followings pages: (http://wiki.riteme.site/w/index.php?title=Special:Contributions&target=81.182.194.197) he makes everyday since a week. He changed more IPs until now.(user:81.182.194.197 user:81.182.104.136 user:81.182.195.63 user:81.182.20.159 user:81.182.108.116 user:81.182.194.197....) He called others fascists... Please do something. -- Bonaparte talk 19:02, 6 December 2005 (UTC) A! Forget to tell you, in his edits he put a film which is the propaganda tool for nazi and fascists movement. -- Bonaparte talk 19:03, 6 December 2005 (UTC)
The articles in question are:

- OK, thankx. But this guy is reverting every day. -- Bonaparte talk 15:16, 7 December 2005 (UTC)
- I know, I have had the pleasure of reverting him myself. I wish I could help you, but you will have to ask somebody else. Cheers Banes 15:19, 7 December 2005 (UTC)
Pathetic? ;)
[edit]You said it, dude, not me! :D All the best! --Vlad 15:49, 7 December 2005 (UTC)
- By one of this life's coincidences, I've just stumbled today upon this. I was looking for some inspiration, but when looking at the source, I considered it to be cheating... So feel free to inspire! :) I hope I've understood correctly your request... --Vlad 16:03, 7 December 2005 (UTC)
About 143.231.249.141
[edit]Hello, I noticed your heroic multiple reverts of the trash anon user 143.231.249.141 kept changing the Rick Renzi article, and wanted to thank you. I'd also like to suggest we dub the user "Captain Republican," because he's been deleting emberassing information about Republicans on Wikipedia and it appears that the editor is using a computer on the US House of Representatives server. My own paranoid tendency leads me to believe he's probably a page or a staffer of a Rep, but that has no justification and you can now ridicule me for it. --JMurphy 17:38, 7 December 2005 (UTC)
Thank you, Banes, for your support in my RfA - I swear, I really wasn't already an admin - but now I'll do my best as an admin to make the reality of Wikipedia rise to the level of the dream. BD2412 T 02:13, 8 December 2005 (UTC) <--note new "admin gold" sig :-D

The infobox is ready!!!
[edit]The infobox template is ready here...using the map created by User:JCarriker and the existing infobox template for the U.S., the map is only slightly larger than those of the svg format, and we can always switch out the PNG for an svg later if need be...don't forget to add a comment to the discussion pages for each article with {{Messagebox protected areas}}...now time to get to work:-)! You can, of course modify the infobox to suit the needs of South African needs, and incorporate any changes that may help make your template more suitable. Let me know if there is anything I can do for you to help you out...--MONGO 04:43, 8 December 2005 (UTC)

Early RFA thanks
[edit]Hi Banes/Archive 5,
Thank you very much for your support on my RfA. It has done very well and is currently at 67/0/2. As such, I am posting this in advance of its closure. If I can ever help with anything or if you have any comments about my actions as an admin, please let me know. Thank you once again! – NSLE (T+C+CVU) 01:01, 9 December 2005 (UTC)PS special mention, here, you got your thanks. Are ya happy now? ;) NSLE (T+C+CVU) 01:01, 9 December 2005 (UTC)
Thanks For The Intervention
[edit]
Yeah, I just assumed that I had lost face and would have to do things that would make me have to leave in order to make things work out and blah, blah, blah. Thanks for the intervention, here's a barn star for your trouble, my friend. Please let me know if I can help out in the future. karmafist 04:54, 9 December 2005 (UTC)
New Hampshire-stub
[edit]From your comment on the vote on this stub redirect I think you may have mistaken what is being voted on there. {{New Hampshire-stub}} is a redirect to the stub template {{NewHampshire-stub}}. Only the redirect is being considered for deletion, not the template. The redirect has been nominated because it contradicts the naming guidelines for stub templates. Black Consciousness Movement Peer Review
[edit]I would like to get some community feedback on our work, but I want to wait until you've put in whatever art information you are planning on adding. If you want, I can look around and start a small section on art, or we can PR without it. Also, do you think the literature section has been sufficiently expanded? Smmurphy(Talk) 07:31, 10 December 2005 (UTC)
- Ok, cool, I just don't want to lose our momentum. Overall, I'm pretty excited about the whole thing, I learned a lot, and I'm pretty happy with the article, expecially the formation and history parts. Its nice to see the process work so well. Smmurphy(Talk) 17:41, 10 December 2005 (UTC)
I put the article up for WP:AID. I thought that might be a better route to head down instead of a peer review, with that coming after the nomination lives or dies. Hopefully you'll support the nomination, or discuss this at the article's talk page. Thanks. Harro5 11:28, 14 December 2005 (UTC)
Pathoschild's successful RfA
[edit]Thanks a lot for your support on my request for adminship; it passed with 23/0/0 (plus one duplicate support and an oppose from a vandal IP). Thank you, indeed. ;) // Pathoschild 09:13, 11 December 2005 (UTC)

Pancakes and peppermint
[edit]Hey Banes, thanks for nominating me for RfA. It worked, as you can see! File:CandyCane.JPG Feel free to let me know if you ever feel like I've let you down. If I do, rest assured I'll at least give you more candy! Tomertalk 20:17, 12 December 2005 (UTC)
My soon to be RFA
[edit]Hi again Banes! Wow, I feel real special, not 3 but 4 vandalism accounts on my user page. I still dont mind doing the RFA tomorrow! Thats right, tomorrow, your Birthday! I'll get that party started! Lol, anyways, I dont know what is going on regarding the vandalism towards me. All, I know was I thought it was Mcfly85, a different user that claims he never vandalized my page before. Just disgruntled, I guess. — Moe ε 19:26, 13 December 2005 (UTC)
- That is annoying having to deal with that on your birthday. As to what to write in there, I'm not to sure probably something like useful contributions, roll back of vandalism, edit count, that sort of thing. Anything you want to add will help! :-) — Moe ε 20:24, 13 December 2005 (UTC)
Esperanza Election
[edit]Banes, as you are probably aware, the Esperanza elections are coming up. After running for the advisory committee last time, with some degree of success, I have decided to run for the same post again. I noticed that you (graciously) voted for me last time. I hope I can count on your vote again! Working together, we can make Wikipedia a better, more inclusive place. Yours in Esperanza, JDH Owens.
