FL Pending

[edit]

Hi, 25 Cents FC. My apologies for the late response; things have been rather busy for me lately, and I never seem to have time to do as much on-Wiki work as I would like. The FLC you nominated was archived in July, meaning that the page was not promoted to FL when the FLC was closed. While you made efforts to address comments there, the list did not have any declared support for promotion to FL status, even after several months. We can't leave FLCs open indefinitely, so at a certain point archiving an FLC like this is the only real option. My best advice is to beef up the lists with a reference column to ensure that each entry has cites that support all information, as one of the reviewers commented on that topic. Then the page will have a better chance of gaining support in a future nomination. Cheers. Giants2008 (Talk) 19:40, 10 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Hello @Giants2008. Thanks a lot for responding. FLC promotion concept is cleared. I will ensure that list get good support. Thanks again. 25 CENTS VICTORIOUS 🍁 03:27, 11 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Remove Controversial Sections

[edit]

Hi @25 Cents FC: please remove controversial section from Trinamool Congress, Samajwadi Party, and Nationalist Congress Party. In politics controversy is common unless proven guilty by court. 2409:40E0:4F:6483:E8B9:AA70:4A93:4A54 (talk) 13:05, 8 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]

The list of articles you have mentioned is not protected in any way, which means you can also remove them if you find they have been added insignificantly. However, please make sure you discuss the removal on the respective talk page before removing them. Also, if you feel that they should not be removed, you can include them within the respective sections in a chronological manner. Consider Indian National Congress or Bhartiya Janta Party as an example. Whether it's the Bofors scandal, Babri Mosque demolition, 2002 Gujarat Riots, the 2G spectrum case and etc; all are covered in their respective years. Hope this helps! Thank you. 25 CENTS VICTORIOUS 🍁 13:14, 8 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Uttar Pradesh

[edit]

Hi, it is regarding this edit. If it is the third largest economy, then the second one needs to be mentioned, since it only has Maharashtra. - Fylindfotberserk (talk) 11:29, 12 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Hi @Fylindfotberserk, I apologize. I just checked RBI's data on the largest economy part. The state is neither second nor third; it's rather the fourth-largest economy. I have corrected and added a citation as well. Thanks. 25 CENTS VICTORIOUS 🍁 21:31, 12 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
No probs. Thanks for taking care of that. - Fylindfotberserk (talk) 10:09, 13 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Politics of Uttar Pradesh

[edit]

Hi 25 CENTS VICTORIOUS 🍁, I am surprised that there isn't a separate page on the politics of Uttar Pradesh.Government of Uttar Pradesh is not a substitute because that mostly deals with administration rather than politics. I wonder is that something you can work on. I mostly concentrate articles related to Maharashtra, and therefore can not do full justice to one on Uttar Pradesh. Please thing about it. Thanks.Jonathansammy (talk) 17:46, 8 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Dear @Jonathansammy, hope you are doing well in life. Apologies for the late response. I considered adding a section on the politics of Uttar Pradesh while working on the article. However, due to the political sensitivity of the state, I decided against it. Such a section would likely attract controversies, daily news, analysis, and advertisement material related to the current Chief Minister, regardless of the year. It would also entail discussing the number of caste and communal riots that occurred under a particular Chief Minister, crime rate reductions, state development during their tenure, among other factors. Additionally, it would require the inclusion of several subsections, such as the electoral history of political parties, details on the legislative assembly including the Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha representatives, as well as information on how many times presidential rules were imposed. Furthermore, as you may have noticed, some IP users are inclined towards making this geography article solely about the Hindu religion, prompting me to request page protection. Therefore, my recommendation would be to refrain from including a separate section on the politics of Uttar Pradesh. Thank you. 25 CENTS VICTORIOUS 🍁 20:54, 20 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Dear25 CENTS VICTORIOUS 🍁 , Thanks for your detailed reply. I understand your concerns but I was alluding to a stand alone article on politics of Uttar Pradesh like the one on Politics of Maharashtra.Somehow that article has not attracted as many contentious edits as some other pages I have worked on so far.I know that given the size of UP, the Politics article would consume a lot of your time but I hope you tackle the subject some time in the future. All the best.Jonathansammy (talk) 17:24, 21 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]
