[edit]

Please do not add wikilinks into "See also" section without demonstrating relevance as you did in Solaris (novel) --Altenmann >talk 18:56, 6 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Relevance was described in the Solaris article, and it was later deleted for having "no relevance" so please help me understand what constitutes relevance when Penguin Highway directly references Solaris both in premise and the mention of Stanislaw Lem by name. 128.92.153.146 (talk) 18:58, 6 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]
  • This text as deleted from Solaris: "Penguin Highway – 2010 Japanese science fiction novel by Tomihiko Morimi". - how it shos relevance?
  • Neiter "Solaris" nor "Lem" words can be found in Penguin Highway article. --Altenmann >talk 19:02, 6 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]
"Neiter "Solaris" nor "Lem" words can be found in Penguin Highway article."
In the book and film themselves. That's where they are referenced. Have you actually read Penguin Highway or seen the film?
    "how it shos (sic) relevance?"
The edit gave the relevance. No relevance is given for Fiasco, His Master's Voice, or The Invincible. 128.92.153.146 (talk) 19:07, 6 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]

"In the book and film themselves. " - You are not linking the book or the film. I am looking at the wikipedia article. It does not speak about Solaris.

About Fiasco etc, is good point, fixed. Picking on typos is silly. --Altenmann >talk 19:12, 6 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]

"You are not linking the book or the film"
Neither does Fiasco, Invincible, or His Master's Voice. They all link to their respective articles, so I'm not sure I follow your criteria for relevance is here or how you think links to other articles are supposed to work.
What if instead of "see also" it was listed in "Cultural allusions and works based on Solaris" would that be satisfactory? Furthermore, as I've said, Penguin Highway is heavily inspired by Solaris and Stanislaw Lem is mentioned by name in the film as a reference. I'll ask again, have you actually read the book or seen the film? 128.92.153.146 (talk) 19:17, 6 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I am answering again: I don't have to. In wikipedia all information mush come from reliable sources, see WP:CITE, WP:RS. Who wrote that "Penguin Highway is heavily inspired by Solaris"? You may have read the book and got this impression, but opinions of Wikipedians do not go into articles. --Altenmann >talk 22:35, 6 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]
