Draft: Grishko
Hi Kharkiv07, I was just checking up on my page and noticed that you had taken a look at it a little while ago, but it's still pending review. I was wondering if you could take a look at it and review it if you have a moment. I think that I have complied with all of the requests of the reviewers and am hopeful this time. :) Thanks! Aspaef (talk) 17:01, 29 March 2015 (UTC)
- @Aspaef: I'll take a look! Kharkiv07Talk 23:05, 29 March 2015 (UTC)
DRN case
Wikipedia:Dispute resolution noticeboard#Talk:Wild and Free-Roaming Horses and Burros Act of 1971.23Article Improvement will go into archiving status on April 2, which means that it will be automatically archived if there's not at least one edit on it during any 24-hour period. Since it looks like you're making progress there — and thank you for that — you might want to change the "Do not archive until" date in the section header to April 9th or thereabouts to keep that from happening. Though it's your call as the handling volunteer, the "quick and simple" premises on which DRN is built suggest that cases shouldn't be extended unless progress is being made, so it would be best if you didn't extend it much more than that at first and then reconsider extending it by another week at a time as needed so long as progress is being made. (On the other hand, you can leave it as it is and tell the disputants that you do not care to extend it so as to keep them talking, or some combination of the two.) Best regards, TransporterMan (TALK) 14:52, 30 March 2015 (UTC)
- Thanks for the heads up, I'll look into it! Kharkiv07Talk 17:17, 30 March 2015 (UTC)
- Oh god, just kill it. We are circling the same issues endlessly. Montanabw(talk) 21:59, 30 March 2015 (UTC)
Another DRN case
It appears to me that there are several other editors involved in the discussion at Elm Guest House who perhaps ought to be included and notified, unless there is some reason to believe that they will simply go along with whatever is worked out between these two editors without any ongoing input from the others. Ghmyrtle, Alarics, Gareth E Kegg, Kind Tennis Fan, and Fortuna Imperatrix Mundi jump out at me. It's your call, but we generally don't take cases at DRN unless we can get everyone involved who is needed to stop the dispute at the talk page. If you've already considered this, please forgive this nosy intrusion in your case. Best regards, TransporterMan (TALK) 20:47, 31 March 2015 (UTC)
- @TransporterMan: It seems that Ghmyrtle is the only one that's extremely active in the discussion, and I'll send him a message that it's open, the others don't seem extremely involved and have only made a comment here or there but I'll look into adding them. Sorry I'm still getting use to this! Kharkiv07Talk 20:53, 31 March 2015 (UTC)
- I'll leave a notice on the talk page if any of those others want to. Kharkiv07Talk 20:59, 31 March 2015 (UTC)
April 2015 Menulog.
Hi, thanks for the feedback. I'm not sure what source I can use for this, as it's observable on the website itself. If you have any tips how I can make this a legitimate entry I would definitely appreciate it. Cheers, ~Fohan — Preceding unsigned comment added by Fohan (talk • contribs) 03:29, 1 April 2015 (UTC)
- I'm not sure exactly what you're referencing... sorry I do a lot of edits, care to elaborate? Sorry! Kharkiv07Talk 03:33, 1 April 2015 (UTC)
- No worries! I think I've figured it out. There is a reddit thread talking about it. Will that do? Fohan (talk) 03:36, 1 April 2015 (UTC)
- I really am sorry, I can be a bit clueless, but I'm not 100% sure what we're talking about... Kharkiv07Talk 03:38, 1 April 2015 (UTC)

RPP stats
I saw your comment on RfA about "only 8 requests to RPP" - just out of interest, is there a script to generate statistics? I seem to be using RPP more this year than ever - I've got no idea why IP users are so keen to rename one of Haim (band) to "slab", but they are. Ritchie333 (talk) (cont) 11:17, 2 April 2015 (UTC)
- @Ritchie333: Unfortunately no, I did it the old fashion way, went to the user's contribs, and limited it to edits in the Wikipedia namespace. They didn't have a ton so it didn't take long to count. Though if you find one I'd love to hear about it, since they don't keep a full archive it's extremely hard. Kharkiv07Talk 13:25, 2 April 2015 (UTC)
- Clearly it should be named slab though, going to move it right now.
- If I had time (hah!) I could probably write something using Pywikibot (would make a change from having a nostalgic rummage through the 30 year old disassembly for Technician Ted's loading system on the ZX Spectrum ... don't ask). The hard part is matching up requests to actions - on at least one occasion I added to RPP then reverted as I discovered completely rewriting the paragraph under dispute solved the problem once and for all. Ritchie333 (talk) (cont) 14:55, 2 April 2015 (UTC)
@Ritchie333: I suppose there's always this. Kharkiv07Talk 01:44, 5 April 2015 (UTC)

- I will say I'm slightly suspicious because you replace an infobox with "tacobox", but nonetheless you must be logged-in to create an account to upload files. This is an extremly easy process which I'd recommend for several reasons, uploading files is one of them. You can go here to create an account, then after that you go here to upload a file. Addition to page about Dickie Kerr
Hello - Chalk it up to my confusion, but... There is a paragraph about Mr. Kerr mentoring Stan Musial. My added line (after the note about the house), is "Mr. Musial named his son, Dick, after Mr. Kerr." I thought I had followed the correct procedure about adding authentication, but obviously not. My source is a friendship with Dick from high school here in St. Louis (Christian Brothers College High School) from 1954 through this date; we were both in the Class of 1958. Dick's real name is, of course, Richard Stanley. Dick and I stay in touch several times per week via email; he lives in Port St. Lucie, FL, and I am still in St. Louis. I of course met Mr. and Mrs. Musial on many occasions way back when. My real name is Thomas F. Maher - "Frank Schario" is the name I use for some online correspondence. Frank Schario (talk) 01:37, 4 April 2015 (UTC)
- Hello! Thanks for contributing! Unfortunately, Wikipedia has a policy against original research, you can find that here. You need to provide a source for your change. While I hardly doubt that you knew him and got this information firsthand, we can't allow original research because if we did people would put anything here claiming that they knew somebody. I'd be more than happy, and I intend to, look into this more and try to find a source myself, and I'd be more than happy to help you! Just drop me a message here, and I'll look into it in the meantime. Thanks and sorry for the hassle! Kharkiv07Talk 01:47, 4 April 2015 (UTC)
- OK - how about this reference from the James Giglio book about Mr. Musial: https://books.google.com/books?id=TW3emrB4J50C&pg=PA293&lpg=PA293&dq=dick+musial&source=bl&ots=wrRGgu6RfP&sig=BhY_iyZgiFtiBtk89iJEl1_LFz4&hl=en&sa=X&ei=hEgfVf-YE8nNsAXfrYHoAQ&ved=0CCUQ6AEwAQ#v=onepage&q=dick%20musial&f=false If that does not take you directly to the page, scroll to page 37.

Just add this: <ref>{{cite book|last1=Giglio|first1=James|title=Musial: From Stash to Stan the Man|date=March 1, 2001|publisher=University of Missouri|isbn=978-0826217356|pages=37|accessdate=4 April 2015}}</ref> after your content. Thanks and happy editing! Kharkiv07Talk 02:29, 4 April 2015 (UTC)
- THANKS for the courtesy! As mentioned, Dick and I have been friends for many years, and he always spoke highly of Mr. Kerr and his kindness to his parents. My addition is just an appreciation of what Mr. and Mrs. Musial felt towards Mr. and Mrs. Kerr.Frank Schario (talk) 07:17, 4 April 2015 (UTC)
- @Frank Scahrio: Anytime! And sorry for having you jump through those hoops, we just need some kind of filter around here. Happy editing! Kharkiv07Talk 15:19, 4 April 2015 (UTC)

Help Needed!
Hey I got a notification that you patrolled my profile Dormantos. What does that mean? I cannot see any changes anywhere. Thanks. Ping @Kharkiv07 Dormantos (talk) 05:22, 4 April 2015 (UTC)
- @Dormantos: When a new page is created it needs to be patrolled, which is entered into a log to tell new page patrollers that a page has already been examined and there's nothing there that is against policy. It doesn't actually change the page, it's just noted in a log so people don't keep coming back again and again to check the page. Kharkiv07Talk 05:25, 4 April 2015 (UTC)
Question at RfA
What was the meaning of this question: "Does anybody know where the close templates are for AfD? I can't seem to track them down." inserted at the discussion section of somebody's RfA? (Please answer right here, I'll watchlist it.) Kraxler (talk) 14:59, 4 April 2015 (UTC)
- I was just referring to the closure templates, I'm pretty sure RfA has its own, right? Kharkiv07Talk 15:17, 4 April 2015 (UTC)
- So you meant the closure template for RfA, and not Afd? Well, I'm sure you'll figure it out, eventually, where they are. All I can say now is that it's not that easy to use them. Good luck. Kraxler (talk) 16:08, 4 April 2015 (UTC)
- Oops! That was the product of a 1am editing session when I'd be !voting in AfDs. I should get more sleep... Regardless, thanks! Kharkiv07Talk 16:13, 4 April 2015 (UTC)
- Hint: read WP:RFA. Kraxler (talk) 16:19, 4 April 2015 (UTC)

Earlier, I made an edit request to the page /Owl_City, and saw that there was some confusion, and you marked it not done, stating that I needed to apply a "Change X to Y" format. However, this isn't a "Change X to Y" situation, this is a "Add Y after X" situation. Did I go about making the request wrong? TheLastStego (talk) 00:18, 5 April 2015 (UTC)

- There are two sources that I originally added in the request. The first one is a link directly to the image of the letter, the second is a link to the home page of the official website, where a pop-up of the image should be automatically generated.--TheLastStego (talk) 00:46, 5 April 2015 (UTC)
