I'm quite sure that there are an infinite number of DavidWSs trying to buy coconuts as a gift for an infinite number of J.delanoys, and, due to customs, will all be returned to a single on or to the sender. Due to the fact that the mass of all these coconuts exceeds the mass of our puny planet, we will all die after being covered by billions of tons of coconuts, all because a userbox specified that J.delanoy likes coconuts. While you have infinite parallel wavefunctions (the coconuts, for instance), they are otherwise probability-tunneled variants of the same object. In the event of a wave function collapse across the infinite variations in probability, you would end up with a single coconut being returned to sender, not a multitude of coconuts. Instead of a solar-system swallowing singularity snacking sedately on our little blue-green dirtball of a world, the larger issue of your scenario would be the twin affronts to our economy of the price of coconuts dropping to nil (since we'd have an infinite supply of them) and uncollected insufficient postage costs crippling the shipping industry. A ban applies to a person, not an IP address, so this would not be possible. We can (and do) block IP addresses when vandalism is persistent and warnings do not seem to be sufficient to stop the behavior. The words "popular", "successful", "long-running" and so on are not "POV" words as you label them, they are descriptive. Hmm. I don't know about that. I'd say that if it is legitimate information, it is unlikely that the only place you can get that info would be on YouTube, so maybe try and see if you can find the info somewhere else, and only use YouTube as a last resort if there is utterly nothing anywhere else. Well, the actual predicament is quite different. It's that somebody is trying to write a description for a music video, but it is severely POV. I mean, every sentence there is something like "there is soldiers who resemble soldiers from Nazi Germany," etc, except he has no references to back up those POVs. I tried removing the content, but he is adamant that YouTube is a valid reference for those POV sentences. Correct. Unless a reliable source says they look like Nazi soldiers, saying they do is a personal opinion and thus it is original research, which is unacceptable. It then shows tanks sporting a sideways black American dollar sign within a circle of white that is within a field of red, followed by legions of soldiers, all dressed in black Nazi SS-like uniforms, with only their shoulder patches showing that they belong to different countries. Later on, the leaders of the United States, Russia, France, Japan, and United Kingdom are shown sitting at a table with the same sideways black American dollar sign on it, fiercely debating. The video then shifts into full scale violence as cities around the world are bombed and the troops, whose patches have been replaced with the same symbol as on the tanks, shoot people down in the streets. Eventually The Guy confronts the soldiers and stirs the rebels to revolt, and flags of the nations of the world are shown, with the final flag being the sideways black American dollar sign. The Guy then leads the rebels to the United Nations building where they attack the representatives and finally the overweight businessman whom, when destroyed by The Guy, explodes into dollar bills, implying that he was the embodiment of greed. ”

Here's the one I just made, adjusted as I watched the video. I tried to keep my own interpretations out, favoring instead to simply state the events of the video:

The video then shows The Guy, escaping bondage from chains, as the military forces continue to assault cities. Do you know any users who could come into this discussion and give an unbiased viewpoint? Right now he's arguing the significance of the Swastika (which doesn't appear once in the video, but a thing he believes to resemble it does). He's saying since the Swastika is so significant, then that means if something resembles it, it belongs there. He continues to revert my edits, and still is citing YouTube as a reference. He even posted a reference for one of his user-interpretations. I was surprised and was going to let it pass; until I checked the reference. It was a photo of the thing he was describing, with not text, but the comment he was citing it for said that the drawing resembled SS soldiers and Darth Vader, clearly his own interpretation, him citing a simple picture making that obvious. Anyways, I just want some more unbiased opinions, here. Rollback misuse

Just my two cents' worth: Users with rollback privileges are already established regulars, so a templated warning for rollback abuse might raise WP:DTTR concerns. Cosmic Latte (talk) 21:20, 14 December 2008 (UTC)

WP:DTTR (and WP:TTR, come to that) are personal essays, not any kind of policy, so pay as much or as little attention to it as you want. My take would be that this template is unnecessary for the opposite reason; no warning ought to be given. If a user's abusing rollback – or any other tool – take it away from them and they can reapply when they're ready. Inappropriate rollback is more disruptive than vandalism, as it potentially drives away valid editors, and I see no reason to make allowances if kids don't know how to work their new toys. – iridescent 21:24, 14 December 2008 (UTC)

Hi, User talk:arojr has been adding links to his blog to various articles, which have all been reverted. His first complete article Transportation and the Farmington canal was speedied G12 yesterday for being a copy of an article on his blog. To get around this he has removed the article from his blog and recreated it here. He's asked me if this is OK. How do I tell him that this doesn't really solve the problem with the article - which is a school report - without discouraging him from contributing? No I don't, sorry :/ Most of what I know I learned by looking around and seeing how other people do it. A good place to learn some fun tricks is in User:Phaedriel's userspace. She was freakin' awesome at combining wikimarkup and HTML. As far as colors go, they are just HTML colors. here is a mess of colors, and if you want moar, I'm sure googling "HTML colors" would come up with plenty of results. You are probably right, but we generally don't block IP addresses permanently. Also, when the block expires, if there is more vandalism, it will likely be only a short time before your school is blocked for another year. It only takes a short time to block someone, and our anti-vandalism team is very good, so I don't think it will be a major issue. Thanks for the advice, though. I believe there has been a mistake.

You have recently sent me a message regarding an unconstructive change to the Rochelle, IL page on Wikipedia. I made no such change to the page and I don't know who did or how the message was sent to me, because I don't have a wikipedia account and can't edit pages. Actually, you don't have to have an account to edit >99% of pages on this site (although you can do a lot more if you do create an account and log in). If you are not logged in, Wikipedia's software treats your IP address as your username, so it is likely that someone else used the IP you have now to vandalize. Again, the best way to avoid getting irrelevant warnings is to create an account. I would encourage you to do so. Wikipedia requires absolutely no personal information to create an account, although it is recommended that you provide an email address in case you forget your password. Fable II

Hi, I noticed you just reverted some IP's edit on the Fable II article. That was fast!! I had already looked at your userpage earlier today, and a couple minutes ago I looked at "recent changes." The blanking of the page was literally the fourth edit on the list, and as soon as I clicked on the history (from the Recent Changes menu) I saw that you had already reverted it.
