Notability
I wouldn't call that heavy editing, you simply deleted all of them... — Preceding unsigned comment added by Leonard Popovic (talk • contribs) 17:54, 2 March 2015 (UTC)
- You can't write about living people if you dont have a reference. Flat Out let's discuss it 21:31, 2 March 2015 (UTC)
So, if these players (Kovalík, Horanský) https://wiki.riteme.site/wiki/Jozef_Koval%C3%ADk Horanský and https://wiki.riteme.site/wiki/Filip_Horansk%C3%BD are not notable, why there are articles about them on Wikipedia? do you use double standard on Grolmus? The same thing with Platenik and Molnar... who are these persons on wikipedia for example?
- One of them won a major title, not sure if that meets the standard. The other is unsourced and I have marked for deletion. Just because you find articles on Wikipedia that are also poorly referenced doesn't mean yoyurs can stay as it is. There are hundreds of thousands of articles here and I am only commenting on those I have read and edited. Flat Out let's discuss it 21:31, 2 March 2015 (UTC)
https://wiki.riteme.site/wiki/Shaun_Thompson_%28fitness%29 (backup dancer for Mariah Carey?!) https://wiki.riteme.site/wiki/Jillian_Michaels_%28personal_trainer%29 https://wiki.riteme.site/wiki/Bob_Harper_%28personal_trainer%29 (celebrity client Jennifer Jason Leigh)
- I suggest you read WP:BLPNOTE. Jillian Michaels and Bob Harper have extensive coverage in the media by independent, secondary sources. They clearly meet the standard. Shaun Thompson is a close call but you can see it has been heavikly edited by User:Cult of Green for the same reason.Flat Out let's discuss it 21:31, 2 March 2015 (UTC)
and etc... — Preceding unsigned comment added by Leonard Popovic (talk • contribs) 18:00, 2 March 2015 (UTC)
OK, you said that Filip Horanský will be deleted... https://wiki.riteme.site/wiki/Filip_Horansk%C3%BD... but you are wrong because he met the standards, by the way..
- I didn't say Filip Horanski will be deleted, I said that you didn't provide any reference for his inclusion in your article.Flat Out let's discuss it 02:13, 3 March 2015 (UTC)
You send me this: This guideline applies equally to singles and doubles players. Junior players are presumed to be notable if they have won at least a junior Grand slam title, have been in the top 3 of the junior ITF world rankings or can be shown to meet the wider requirements of WP:GNG. And: Horanský became No. 3 in the ITF rankings in May 2011 when he won singles title at the 52nd Trofeo Bonfigli tournament in Milano. - so he was No. 3 in the world... you deleted this, too..
- Yes, Horanský is notable udner that definition. That doesn't necessarily make his coach notable, because one person can not inherit notability from aother person. Flat Out let's discuss it 02:13, 3 March 2015 (UTC)
So can we agreed that I know little bit more about these players and coaches than you? I have no idea why I can't write about Platenik (https://wiki.riteme.site/wiki/Vladim%C3%ADr_Pl%C3%A1ten%C3%ADk) that he was a coach of Dominika Cibulkova or Nadia Petrova, well-known tennis players.. you left just this sentence - In 2014, it was announced that Pláteník had begun working with the WTA player Patricia Mayr-Achleitner from Austria.... it's very odd... Cibulkova @ Platenik cooperation: http://www.foxnews.com/printer_friendly_wires/2009Jun02/0,4675,TENFrenchOpen,00.html... Petrova & Platenik cooperation (by the way, there is mistake, he is not her coach for a long time - https://wiki.riteme.site/wiki/Nadia_Petrova) - early life section: Petrova says that hard courts are her favourite surface, but she has been most successful on clay courts. She is currently coached by Vladimir Platenik (wrong information - if I will change it, you will delete it, too?).
- Wikipedia needs you to write articles for other readers not yourself - and you need to supply references so that other editors can verify that what you are writing is correct and fair. You haven't done that. Flat Out let's discuss it 02:13, 3 March 2015 (UTC)
for example see Nick Bolletieri: NO source for a lot of players: https://wiki.riteme.site/wiki/Nick_Bollettieri Nicholas James Bollettieri (born July 31, 1931), is an American tennis coach, born to Italian parents, who is credited with developing many leading players, including Andre Agassi, Jim Courier, Monica Seles, and Mary Pierce. He also has worked with Maria Sharapova, Daniela Hantuchová, Jelena Janković, Nicole Vaidišová, Sabine Lisicki, Sara Errani, Tommy Haas, Max Mirnyi, Xavier Malisse, Venus Williams, Serena Williams, Martina Hingis, Anna Kournikova, Marcelo Ríos, Kei Nishikori, and coached Boris Becker for two years.
- Nick Bollettieri is tagged at the top of the article because it doesn't have enough sources and it also needs some sections removed because they breach [WP:BLP]]. Flat Out let's discuss it 02:13, 3 March 2015 (UTC)
Flat Out, you have deleted all my articles (Grolmus, Molnar, Platenik) without any possibility to talk about edition of this articles before (I have no problem with that).. I don't think that this is correct and fair and let's talk about all of three coaches what we can publish again and what not... thank you.. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Leonard Popovic (talk • contribs) 23:21, 2 March 2015 (UTC)
- Leonard Popovic I haven't deleted any articles, I have edited them. You dont own the articles. Anyone can edit them. I deleted sections of the articles because they were in breach of WP:BLP. Everything you write about a living person must be supoorted by a reliable source. You should read that policy.
- I'm not able to delete articles but I can edit them and I can nominate articles for deletion if I don't believe they met the required standard. Nominating articles is not a personal attack on you, its to ensure articles are of an encyclopedic nature. When you write an article about a topic, you need to make sure that you supply reliable sources to support those articles so that other editors can verify that what you are writing is correct. We don't just take your word for it. Thanks for your contribution. Flat Out let's discuss it 01:48, 3 March 2015 (UTC)
A kitten for you! re Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Lighthouse Trails Publishing
Hi Flat Out, sorry about my initial 'keep' on afd LTP, it must of been the wikikitten in me reappearing:) think i deserve a WP:TROUT:)
Coolabahapple (talk) 00:40, 5 March 2015 (UTC)
- hey Coolabahapple you have no idea how appreciative I am. Thankyou. Flat Out let's discuss it 02:25, 5 March 2015 (UTC)
ClauseMatch
I'm not quite sure if I quite understand the guidelines for deletion. There are numerous other entries on Wikipedia which are of a nearly identical nature. That is, a startup company with a promising technology which has achieved some recognition for their work. In this case, the company has won two notable competitions for startup companies. Everything which was input was directly sourced, but you went in and deleted the source.Sprintercourse (talk) 05:01, 8 March 2015 (UTC)
- Hi Sprintercourse and thanks for your question. Companies need to meet WP:CORP or WP:GNG. WP:CORP states that "Sprintercourse
No company or organization is considered inherently notable. No organization is exempt from this requirement, no matter what kind of organization it is, including schools. If the individual organization has received no or very little notice from independent sources, then it is not notable simply because other individual organizations of its type are commonly notable or merely because it exists (see "If it's not notable", below). "Notability" is not synonymous with "fame" or "importance." No matter how "important" editors may personally believe an organization to be, it should not have a stand-alone article in Wikipedia unless reliable sources independent of the organization have discussed it.
- See also WP:CORPDEPTH. If you still don't understand please let me know and I will try and assist. Flat Out let's discuss it 05:12, 8 March 2015 (UTC)
Aaron F. Straight
- Regarding Aaron F. Straight page
I am better understanding Wikipedia. Looking at the list here: https://wiki.riteme.site/wiki/List_of_Stanford_University_people#Biology.2Fbiochemistry.2Fmedicine they are mostly Nobel Prize winners. Can I remove Aaron's page? Maybe we should wait? I'd much rather that there be no page than a page with 10 different issues.
- Stanfordbiochem I suggest you wait as there is some indication at the Articles for Deletion that he meets one of the WP:PROF criteria. Flat Out let's discuss it 23:10, 9 March 2015 (UTC)
Stanfordbiochem (talk) 23:14, 9 March 2015 (UTC)Flat Out Yay! Thank you! I'm not trying to do something illicit or vandalize. Sorry I wasn't indicating the changes I was making in the past, I am now. Thanks for your patience and please let me know if and when they will delete or remove all the flags. Thanks.Stanfordbiochem (talk) 21:59, 9 March 2015
Sylvania Church Deletion
I saw that you recommended Sylvania Church for deletion, but I think I initially failed to include some of Sylvania's noteworthy details and forgot to include internal links on others. I've since added some of the noteworthiness of Sylvania to the page. Let me know if that helps. Thanks! — Preceding unsigned comment added by Christsupreme (talk • contribs) 05:23, 13 March 2015 (UTC)
