== Centrifugal Force ==

Acroterion, I'd be grateful if you could keep an eye on the centrifugal force page again. There isn't going to be an edit war, but I'm going to make an attempt to tidy up a section on that page. Any sign of an edit war and I'll pull out, but I'd be grateful if you could monitor it to see if certain persons are maliciously undoing any edits that I make. David Tombe [[Special:Contributions/81.151.2.23|81.151.2.23]] ([[User talk:81.151.2.23|talk]]) 12:37, 11 April 2009 (UTC)

Hi. Why did you delete the article about XSitePro? It seems odd when there are articles on all of the other HTML editors. Please refer to the following:

http://wiki.riteme.site/wiki/Comparison_of_HTML_editors

It seems odd that there are articles on all the HTML editors listed EXCEPT for XSitePro. <small><span class="autosigned">—Preceding [[Wikipedia:Signatures|unsigned]] comment added by [[User:Frankbenny|Frankbenny]] ([[User talk:Frankbenny|talk]] • [[Special:Contributions/Frankbenny|contribs]]) 12:26, 12 April 2009 (UTC)</span></small><!-- Template:Unsigned --> <!--Autosigned by SineBot-->

== Please rewrite article ==

You deleted the article on XSitePro which is referenced by the following page.

http://wiki.riteme.site/wiki/Comparison_of_HTML_editors

Can you please add the necessary article on XSitePro as now this page is going to be inaccurate. I'm still mystified as to why you 'delete' an article rather than add to it, when it is a perfectly valid article and one that adds to the completeness of Wikipedia.

If you are to delete the XSitePro article I feel you should also, for fairness sake, be deleting all of the following:

http://wiki.riteme.site/wiki/Freeway_(software)
http://wiki.riteme.site/wiki/Adobe_Dreamweaver
http://wiki.riteme.site/wiki/Microsoft_Expression_Web
http://wiki.riteme.site/wiki/RapidWeaver
http://wiki.riteme.site/wiki/SeaMonkey

I was going to get going on adding the other editors that are missing from the following page:

http://wiki.riteme.site/wiki/Comparison_of_HTML_editors

but it seems like I will be wasting my time if people like you just go around deleting pages for no VALID reason, rather than adding to them, which is what I think you should be doing. <small><span class="autosigned">—Preceding [[Wikipedia:Signatures|unsigned]] comment added by [[User:Frankbenny|Frankbenny]] ([[User talk:Frankbenny|talk]] • [[Special:Contributions/Frankbenny|contribs]]) 12:41, 12 April 2009 (UTC)</span></small><!-- Template:Unsigned --> <!--Autosigned by SineBot-->

:I deleted the article because it made no assertion of significance and consisted almost entirely of links back to the company: in other words, it looked a lot like spam. I have no objection to its re-creation, provided documentation is provided of its notability in non-trivial references in independent media. You were the editor who added it to the list of HTML editors, so your argument that "it's on the list" is invalid. Not every HTML editor is necessarily eligible for inclusion. I have copied the content into you [[User:Frankbenny/sandbox]] for you to work on. I recently wrote a page about my hich school teacher Steve Corcoran, whcih has much truth to it, as well as some fabrication which was pointed out in order to show how wikipedia can be an uncredible source in a paper or other school work, due to the fact that people can edit these pages on ther own, and i would like to know how I can get this page submitted without being deleted. == Deletion of Levels of Awesome ==

Hello Kind Sir,

I am curious as to why my Levels of Awesome entry was flagged as G3:Vandalism and deleted from Wikipedia. I fail to understand how my entry includes blatant or obvious misinformation. There '''are''' levels of awesomeness and anyone that has watched the television show on CBS "How I Met Your Mother" can attest to this fact based upon the repeated wisdom of Barny Stinson as played by Neil Patrick Harris (see: http://wiki.riteme.site/wiki/Barney_Stinson#Catchphrases).

I will grant you that I cannot 100% verify the capacity of bears to recognize rawksomeness, but then again, Wikipedia's entry on Human-Bear interactions (http://wiki.riteme.site/wiki/Bears#Relationship_with_humans) is not very thorough and therefore does not disprove nor dispel the idea that bears cannot. (I would certainly contend that a certain, smarter-than-your-average bear would have the ability to communicate with humans, but his ability to recognize rawksome would still be questionable [http://wiki.riteme.site/wiki/Yogi_bear].)

So, besides the potentially unsupportable hypothesis about bears' speech capacity, which can easily be removed, I do not believe my entry so flagrantly violates Wikipedia's standards as claimed.

Could you please reinstate my entry, or at least produce for me peer-reviewed studies that show my entry to contain other erroneous (blatant and/or obvious) information?

Thank you. <small><span class="autosigned">—Preceding [[Wikipedia:Signatures|unsigned]] comment added by [[User:Gibreal|Gibreal]] ([[User talk:Gibreal|talk]] • [[Special:Contributions/Gibreal|contribs]]) 17:32, 16 April 2009 (UTC)</span></small><!-- Template:Unsigned --> <!--Autosigned by SineBot-->

Dear Acroterion,

I am outraged that you have such a blunt disregard for the trademark of Wizard 101. You have disgraced the industry that calls itself Wizard 101. I, However, am a frequent player. == GeekDad deletion? ==

This is a particularly relevant blog receiving well over 20k hits per day and has won multiple awards as a top blog. :See [[WP:WEB]] for notability criteria for web content. You'll need to find coverage by independent media of some significant standing, apart from Wired, obviously, that indicates that the blog has received notice in the wider media. :::He was responsible for the terrible state of [[Manu Sharma]] fairly recently, and was happy to edit war to keep his preferred version (BLP-vios, serious POV issues, copyright violations etc) and is now back to editing the article, complete with legalese, a self-professed conflict of interest and refusal to cite sources. I've warned him for 3RR and pointed him to various policies, but I really don't want this. I think the article should have been deleted a long time ago, and the last thing I want to do is block/protect/delete myself. Long story short- could you do something about this, if need be? I left a longer message for J Milburn on his talk page a bit ago but... You two [[WP:BITE|BIT]] this editor rather than [[WP:AGF|assuming good faith]] - and, rather annoyingly, he was factually right on the status of the appeal, AND in the right under [[WP:BLP]] regarding defamatory information on article subjects.

I'm going to follow up with more after I get done with his OTRS complaint, but jeez, guys, please don't do this sort of thing. :::I understand, but I ''am'' concerned about the apparent fact the the editor was, in fact, correct on the BLP issue. I was concerned about that at the time, and didn't pursue my own inquiry - shame on me. On the other points, the editor's attitudes toward copyright, civility and edit-warring are self-evident. There's no cost to unblock, and if the editor shows a willingness to do as I asked, to use the talk page and appropriate edit summaries, then fine. == Proposal to add new content to WTC7 ==

I propose to add details from the [http://wtc.nist.gov/NCSTAR1/NCSTAR1Aindex.htm new NIST report]<ref>{{cite web |url=http://wtc.nist.gov/NCSTAR1/NCSTAR1Aindex.htm |title=NIST NCSTAR 1A: Final Report on the Collapse of World Trade Center Building 7|author= Patrick D.Gallagher|publisher=''National Institute of Standards and Technology'' |date=2008-10-01}}</ref>. There, the collapse is described in three phases: (Cite page 87)

* In Stage 1, the descent was slow and the acceleration was less than that of gravity. (until t=1.75s)
* In Stage 2, the north face descended at gravitational accelaration (between t=1.75s and t=4.0s)
* In Stage 3, the acceleration decreased somewhat as the upper portion of the north face encountered increased resistance from the collapsed structure and the debris pile below. (between t=4.0s and t=5.4s)

Also Fig.3-15 of pdf page 88 should be included in the article for a better understanding. As far as is saw is the new report not yet included in the articles references.

Is it possible to include this information, or are there any reasons why it can/should be excluded?

:::These things take some time to develop unless it's a highly-trafficked article. I have taken no significant role in editing that article, apart from dealing with vandalism or poorly-considered/undiscussed edits. Since it's a wiki, there's no "editor in charge" for any of the 2.8 million articles here. You must convince the community at large that your edits are worthwhile. Most of the time that's not hard, but as WTC 7 is a [[WP:FA|featured article]], editors will demand more, especially since it's in the 9/11-related category and attracts some interesting ideas. :(Resisting the urge to lapse into Boris-speak) The Committee for State Security thanks you for your services to the State security organs. We do, however, request that you appear before the Sub-Committee on Political Orthodoxy concerning your apparent Fascist sympathies. Additionally, you will answer questions concerning your apparent adherence to [[Maoism|certain discredited foreign ideas]]. Your book will, of course, be confiscated for examination. ::Hey, I paid five bucks for that copy! (And in right-wing [[Orange County, California]] -- that's the strangest part.) (It's a nicely-bound Chinese-printed edition ... I should really photograph it for the [[Little Red Book]] article.) [[User:Antandrus|Antandrus ]] [[User_talk:Antandrus|(talk)]] 02:38, 26 April 2009 (UTC)

:::I was going to give you the Uncle Duce Award for Contradictory Political Bias featuring inscribed portraits of Stalin and Mussolini, but a lack of skill and an almost-escaped dog conspired to thwart me. ==Plagiarism question==
Hey Acroterion, you know your way around Wikipedia better than I. I found an article whose lead paragraph is directly taken from a copyrighted work without attribution. I don't have the time right now to rewrite the paragraph properly and wonder if there is some way to flag this for the wiki community for another editor to correct it? [[User:Pmcyclist|pmcyclist]] ([[User talk:Pmcyclist|talk]]) 21:31, 26 April 2009 (UTC)
:I think your simplest option is to post about it at [[Wikipedia:Copyright problems]], and others will address it. If you want to go further, you can yourself tag the article with {{tl|copyvio}}, which is more extreme, as it blanks the article. There are more instructions about notifications and listing on a central work-page you should follow, too, at [[wp:copyvio]]. There certainly is a centralized process to handle these. You can contribute the info that there appears to be a problem, but you don't need to take on the entire solution by yourself. Hope this helps. ::Thanks so much, peanut gallery, for your advice. I will do that! [[User:Pmcyclist|pmcyclist]] ([[User talk:Pmcyclist|talk]]) 22:45, 26 April 2009 (UTC)
::Thanks for the talkpage stalking, Doncram, your advice is better than I would have managed, since I wasn't necessarily aware of the Copyright problems page. Short of personally rewriting it, that's your best option. ::::Glad u dont mind my butting in. :) Plagiarism is a topic that interests me, otherwise i wouldn't have been likely to come visit. I was deceived, this was about copyvio, tho, which is different. (You can plagiarise from a public domain source, for example, where there is no copyvio possible.) About plagiarism, vote for a guideline at [[wt:plagiarism]], an open RfC ... :::Thanks to both of you. I found out that the publishing house was in fact copying from wiki rather than the other way around. Case solved, Watson! [[User:Pmcyclist|pmcyclist]] ([[User talk:Pmcyclist|talk]]) 23:59, 26 April 2009 (UTC)
::::I've discovered other instances of circular attribution (a nicer term than a crib straight from Wikipedia) that trace back to a Wikipedian origin - it can get pretty confusing (and it's amusing when it appears in a broadly-circulated publication). == Sslota ==

Hiya,

{{user|Sslota}} put a help request on your page; I've moved it over to [[User_talk:Sslota#Help_request]] and answered it there.

Just a small point, but please note that when you welcome people (as you did [http://wiki.riteme.site/w/index.php?title=User_talk:Sslota&diff=282016593&oldid=282007674 here]), please;

*Put the welcome in a new section on their page (&nbsp;<code><nowiki>== Welcome ==</nowiki></code>&nbsp;) - even if it's a brand-new page. This gets the new user off to a good start in learning how talk pages work, etc.

*Please use <code><nowiki>{{subst:welcome}}</nowiki></code> instead of just <code><nowiki>{{welcome}}</nowiki></code> - so that the code itself is put onto their page instead of a [[WP:TRANSCLUDE|transclusion]]. Again, this helps to make things more understandable to our new users.

There are policies on this, but I can't be bothered to dig them out right now :-) I hope my explanations will suffice.

Cheers, and keep up the good work helping new users. <small><span style="border: 1px solid; background-color:darkblue;">[[User:Chzz|'''<span style="background-color:darkblue; color:#FFFFFF"> &nbsp;Chzz&nbsp;</span>''']][[User talk:Chzz|<span style="color:#00008B; background-color:yellow; border: 0px solid; ">&nbsp;►&nbsp;</span>]]</span></small> 04:28, 29 April 2009 (UTC)

:I am aware of those policies, however I find that I can't be bothered to follow them with 100% consistency.
