Here's my say on the Wikipedia governance reform. I agree that we do need somewhat of a legislative body here on Wikipedia and do need governance reform. This proposal is written on the standards of the United States government. If you want do discuss this, please do so on the talkpage.

General outline

There would be three branches of governmant here:

Executive branch:

• Jimbo Wales (compare to president)
• Angela (compare to vice president)
• Board of Trustees (compare to cabinet)

Legislative branch:

• Legislative body 1 (compare to U.S. Senate, approx. 50 members)
• Legislative body 2 (compare to U.S. House, approx. 200 members)

Judicial branch:

• ArbCom (compare to Supreme Court)
• ANI (compare to lower courts)

Exectuive branch

The executive branch is based off of the Exectuive branch of the United States. It includes Jimbo, Angela, and the Board of Trustees, who will act as a president, vice president, and cabinet. Jimbo must approve all of the policy changes passed through the legislative bodies for it to become a policy or guideline on Wikipedia. If Jimbo rejects the proposal, it is sent back to the legislative branch for changes, and tried again. This may be done as many times as needed. Jimbo and the executive branch would basically be like a leader here. The Board of Trustees would take different roles representing different areas of Wikipedia (e.g. vandalism, fund raising, press, etc.). These people would give advice to Jimbo and Angela about their areas and help the rest of the system make decisions.
