Disclosures and miscellany

[edit]

I have occasionally edited in areas where I have a very mild conflict of interest (e.g. improving coverage of a business I've patronized), but I avoid doing so on any topic where I am too closely connected to be able to approach it with a detached, neutral mindset. When I was a less experienced editor (until 2021), I occasionally cited my own (non-commercial) work when it was the only or best source I could find. I have never edited for pay. I have a privately disclosed alternate account used for testing and edits revealing personal information (e.g. audio recordings).
