Hilja Keading is an American multimedia artist based in Los Angeles.[1] Keading graduated in 1986 with a Masters of Fine Arts from the University of California, Los Angeles. [2] Keadling artwork has been exhibited in Los Angeles, New York, Seattle, and Clermont-Ferrand, France.[3] She has also been involved in many group exhibits in the United States, Germany, Amsterdam, and Brazil. [4] Keading's art explores the connections between, "literal, psychological, and mythical realities, while considering parallels between comedy and tragedy."[5] In 2010 the Angels Gallery in Los Angeles, California exhibited her multimedia artwork in an exhibited titled The Bonkers Devotional.[6] The Los Angeles Times described the exhibited as, "a powerful piece of theater." [7]
