General WP stuff
[edit]I mainly do "wikignome" stuff--checking random articles for format, adding links, etc. For awhile I did some editing in the Messianic Judaism article but I found the regular clique of editors (almost all of whom are not Messianic) so biased that I stopped.
Religion
[edit]-- Religious Attendance
[edit]- I was raised Roman Catholic and converted to Protestantism in 1996.
- I am now a Messianic gentile who has attended Baruch HaShem Messianic Synagogue (BHS) in Dallas, Texas since December 1999.
- I am a member of Christian Chapel CME Temple of Faith, where I run the Internet Outreach Ministry and teach in the children's program.
- I have attended the Reform Jewish Temple Emanu-El in Dallas since early 2003.
- For about a year I also attended Zola Levitt's Shalom Shalom Messianic Congregation.
(Yes, that does mean I have been attending three different congregations on a weekly basis for several years.)
-- Religious Training
[edit]I have completed six Messianic Yeshiva courses given by leaders in the Messianic Movement, a three-day orientation on Messianic Judaism given by BHS, and have extensively read Messianic authors such as Dan Juster, John C. Fisher, Michael L. Brown and David Stern. I have also studied Hebrew and traditional (non-Messianic) Judaism. Including college-lecture-type teaching at BHS I have about 450 hours of training in Messianic Judaism, Messianic theology, etc.
I hold a Certificate in Theology from the Dallas Extension Division of Interdenominational Theological Center (Protestant) in Atlanta, Georgia. I have also attended several non-denominational Christian workshops on children's ministry. I have written extensively on theology and apologetics.
