Half Past Four are a Canadian progressive rock band founded in Toronto by two guitarists, Dmitry Lesov and Constantin Necrasov, in 1999[1]. The band released its debut album Rabbit in the Vestibule in 2008 to great fanfare and many favourable international reviews. The band is known for merging various musical styles[2], as well as composing in odd, often poly-rythmic, time signatures[3]. For a few years (between 2008-11) they were also one of the few progressive rock bands to feature both a female vocalist and drummer[4]. After releasing their first album, Rabbit in the Vestibule, Half Past Four have become known in the progressive rock community having received critical acclaim in numerous reviews around the world and playing at Prog-Day Festival in North Carolina and Jet Lag Festival in Pennsylvania. .

In 2006 they were asked to write music for a horror-comedy film The Mad. The band agreed, and in October that year wrote and recorded more than 40 minutes of original music in various genres, including 80's new-wave, country, and thrash-metal.

A month later Half Past Four started to work on recording their first full-length album. Recording was completed in Summer 2007. The band then spent almost a year looking for and trying sound engineers to mix and master the album. In early March of 2008, Juno-Award winner Jono Grant was hired to mix and master the album. The album was mixed and mastered shortly after. Half Past Four's first album was officially released on October 25th, 2008.

January 2012 A new drummer, Marcello Ciurleo joined the band. They immediately started writing and recording their second full length album entitled "Good Things". It was recorded by multi-talented Johnny "Devil" Campbell and mixed by award winning engineer Mauro Giammarco. It will be released April 13th 2013.
