The 2019 Wake Forest Demon Deacons football team represents Wake Forest University during the 2019 NCAA Division I FBS football season. The team is led by sixth-year head coach Dave Clawson, and play their home games at BB&T Field. Wake Forest competes in the Atlantic Division of the Atlantic Coast Conference as they have since the league's inception in 1953.

Previous season

The Demon Deacons finished the 2018 season 7–6, 3–5 in ACC play to finish in a tie for fifth place in the Atlantic Division. They were invited to the Birmingham Bowl where they defeated Memphis.

The ACC media poll will release their preseason media poll during the conference's media day in summer 2019.

Schedule

Wake Forest announced their schedule for the 2019 season on January 16, 2019.[1][2][3] The Demon Deacons' schedule consist of 7 home games and 5 away games. Wake Forest host conference opponents Duke, Florida State, Louisville, and NC State, and travel to Boston College, Clemson, Syracuse, and Virginia Tech. The Demon Deacons play out of conference games against Utah State of the MW, Rice of C-USA, North Carolina who's a fellow ACC member but will be played as a non-conference game for this season,[4] and Elon of the Division I FCS CAA.
