Ibn As Muhammad (real name: Muhammad Akhtar As) is a Pakistani children's author, playwright, journalist and story writer.[1]

personal life

Ibn As Muhammad was born in a beautiful village of Saranwali in Sialkot tehsil Diska. His family belonged to Balam tehsil of Mewat district in India. Garh]] is from a village Dhoj Fatehpur. They belong to Mewati or Mayo nation and their tribe is called Dhengal. On the Nanihal side, his mother's family is from Delhi and his Ninhyali family is from the Blacksmith community of Delhi.


Ibn As Muhammad's father's name is "As Muhammad" and grandfather's name is "Rustam Khan". After spending a few years of his childhood in Saranwali, Ibn As Muhammad moved with his parents first to Mughalpura in [Lahore] and then to the area of "Pir Makki Ground" and later to [Karachi]. Ibn As Muhammad's father was a labourer, who later became a mason, and then a contractor. Ibn As Muhammad spent his childhood and boyhood in "Gharibabad", a township in Karachi. Received his primary education in "Azizabad Primary School". For secondary education, he moved to "Comprehensive High School" Azizabad. A teacher, impressed by his Urdu, encouraged him on his early stories, but unfortunately, Ibn As Muhammad had to stop his studies after the ninth grade (which later resumed after a few years of marriage). (started.) and had to start labor sitting on the bench like the Raj laborers. It was a very difficult time. Ibn As Muhammad was only twelve years old and he became a regular bench labourer. His passion and passion for writing stories kept him connected with knowledge and literature and he became the youngest working journalist and editor of Pakistan by working part-time in the children's magazine "Tot Batot" at the age of just thirteen. They also continued to work. Ibn As Muhammad married into a Pashto-speaking Khattak family of Kohat. His wife's name is "Shahana Khattak", who also writes from time to time. Ibn As Muhammad has four children. Two daughters (Kamal Rani and Zaheen Princess) are both writers. Both have also written a few plays, while elder daughter Komal Rani writes poetry, her collection Kalam under print. Both wrote their first plays at a very young age (seven years and eight years old) which were presented on "ATV". After a few years of marriage, Ibn As Muhammad resumed his education and after passing Nahum, Dham, he entered evening classes from Islamia Arts College, Karachi and advanced Urdu, Islamic History and Political Science from Karachi University. Creative Age

Ibn As Muhammad wrote the first story in 1979. This story was published many years later in the monthly Sathi under the same name and also won the Sathi Award. Later, he continued to create children's literature in various magazines and journals. Nain Tara also organize children's page in daily Ummat 2 times a week. And gained a lot of fame as "Bachu Ka Bhai John". And still writing frequently for children's literature in various magazines. Writing scripts for film, TV and social media. Ibex Media House is associated with the company, where besides writing scripts, he also performs the responsibilities of news editor and directs short films.

Editorial life

Ibn As was the youngest manager of Tot Bitot. This was when he left his education incomplete in the ninth grade and worked as a number one laborer in Liaquatabad (Post Office), Banaras (Pathan Colony) and Orangi Town. He also used to write stories for children in various magazines at night. At that young age, he was also running a library Shani Library in Orangi Town, which was a labor. He used to open it in the evening on his return and then went back at night, sitting there doing bookbinding and writing stories.

Tot Batot's Editorialship

One day, he received a postcard sent by a well-known journalist Mahmoud Sham, in which he was asked to come and meet Mahmood Sham at Tot Batot's office. Mehmood Sham made him the editor-in-charge of his magazine Tot Batot and fixed a salary of 1500 rupees. This was a temporary job, because in those days the wife of a well-known journalist Mujahid Barelvi Nuzhat Shireen broke up. Bitot's editor was in charge and was going to America on a few months' leave, so the temporary job went to Ibn As, simply because of his natural story-writing skills. Later, the job lasted for more than a year. continued, however Ibn As used to work on Saturdays and Sundays even in those days.

Children's literature

Ibn-e-Aas Muhammad used to write 10 stories for children every week in the daily Ummat. And this series continued for nine years. As if about four and a 500 stories have been published only in daily Ummat. Since 1982, he has written about 6000 stories for children, including translations. 3 collections of gripping stories, 5 horror novels and Harry Potter have been published in book form.


Wrote more than 40 episodic novels and books in various children's magazines, newspapers and journals. In which "Shah Zor" got a lot of fame. The number of books and novels published so far is 19.


Translated the most popular English children's book Harry Potter which was published in daily Ummat for 7 years (one episode every day). Later the English classic novel [[Lord of the Rings] ] translated into Urdu for children. If this long story is published on the pages of children's magazines, it becomes 5600 pages. And over 4000 pages are made up of Harry Potter as well.


It is also the honor of Ibn Aas that his twelve novels were published in one month. Based on this record, Ibn-e-Asa Muhammad has been interviewed exclusively on Voice of America.
