[edit]- 1902 Kristjan Raud's [symbolism|symbolist] period starts.
- 1903 Ants Laikmaa exhibits at the Provicial Museum in Tallinn.
- 1904 Kristjan Raud opens his art studio ion Tartu.
- 1905 Jaan Koort studies painting and sculpture at the Paris École des Beaux Arts. Nikolai Triik, Konrad Mägi and Aleksander Tassa also study in Paris.
- 1906 First general Estonian art exhibition takes place in Tartu
