In both elections I have participated in, I selected only the number of candidates as there are seats available, and opposed all other candidates. I dont like opposing, but that is the way this system works, unless one wishes to get all political about it. This year, there was a discussion about electoral system reform but no change; maybe next year.

2007
Six seats available. (I voted for seven because there was a good chance that Giano II would be elected, and I thought he would have been helpful) - I cant recall offhand what I was using as my criteria.

2008
Seven seats available - My main objective was to choose a diverse group of people.
  • Carcharoth - not the blocking sort - I've worked with Carcharoth at WP:AJ; I often take a look when his name appears on my watchlist
  • Jehochman - definitely the blocking sort - We've crossed paths a few times but never stopped to chat; I often take a look when his name appears on my watchlist - No longer running.
  • Risker - lots of really long well considered and written answers: a copy editor - no interaction that I can recall; maybe some crossover on ANI
  • WJBscribe - crat, listed credible way to improve in his statement, inc. how to improve block reviews which are a major time sink - We've crossed paths a few times but never stopped to chat - No longer running.
  • Casliber - psychiatrist, strong content - no interaction that I can recall
  • Vassyana - strong content and mediation - no interaction that I can recall
  • Roger Davies - milhistory project (that says it all?) - no interaction that I can recall
