Holy Cross High School is a premier educational school in Hinganghat, Maharashtra, India. It offers classes from pre-Kindergarten to Junior College. The school system integrates a sports schedule and community service. It is affiliated with the Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education, Pune. Other Institutions : Holy Faith School, Holy Faith Junior College of Commerce and Science and Holy Cross Jr. The School has been ranked in the top 5 in Wardha District , and as high as 116 in India by Global School Award in 2017.
History
[edit]The School was started by Mr Thomas Samuel in early 1990 with small investment in the city of Hinganghat, He also served as Chief Engineer in Hinganghat Municipal Council for 40 Years The School has started with 12 Students in the Halls of Church and now it is grown up to 1000+ Students in School and College together. The School is planing to extend it operation in several state and also overseas through various Partnerships and through Franchise Model.

The School is based on the Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education, Pune. and the text books are as prescribed by the National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT) and Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education, Pune. The medium of instruction is English. However, a three-language method is adopted in all classes, to enable students to be functionally multilingual.

[edit]Student clubs and societies have always played an important role in the life of the School, and are seen as vital to student development.The popular extra-curricular societies and clubs engage in activities concerned with debating, dramatics, wall climbing and trekking, film, social service, photography, quizzing and astronomy. The social service league and Students Union is the largest and most active society of Holy Cross School which follows the mantra "Unity above all". It works for the betterment of the underprivileged sections of the society. In continuance of a long tradition.
