EFFECT Photonics

EFFECT Photonics B.V is a Dutch deep tech startup headquartered at the High Tech Campus in Eindhoven.

History

In 2009 Boudewijn Docter with 9 other authors published: The 243 Steps of Making Photonic Integrated Circuits in InP[1], also available on ResearchGate.[2]

EFFECT Photonics was founded in 2010 and is a spin-off from TU/e.[3] SMART Photonics[4], EFFECT Photonics and MicroAlign[5] are part of the photonic chip ecosystem PhotonDelta.

Awards

In 2014 EFFECT Photonics was awarded the Gerard & Anton Awards[6] for the 10 most promising start-ups from the Brainport region.

In 2018 EFFECT Photonics was one of the European Photonics Venture Forum (EVC) Finalists[7] with Gasera a Finnish high-tech company.

In 2020 EFFECT Photonics became one of the winners at the TechTour Deep Tech Programme 2020[8] with EnduroSat AD a Bulgarian aerospace manufacturer, Astrocast is a Swiss satellite communications company, Orbex a United Kingdom-based aerospace company, FlexEnable and D-Orbit a private aerospace company headquartered in Italy.
