History

[edit]

On April 7, 2014, Admin. Rin" released his Mini comic album about Fairytail's comeback (2014) hoping to make it popular he and Deiji-chan, his co-admin at ANIME Forever decides to make a Minizine. Without knowing that it will be a big project both of them made an event called AF MEME Contest hosted by ANIME Forever. A week after the MEME Contest, Kawachii Neko, an admin as well started a drawing contest, both the MEME and Drawing contest only aims to make the magazine known. Using the events by promising to publish the winners on their magazine, both the contests are successful. Two weeks after, the plan/project was changed and made it larger the admins decid to make it a magazine rather having a minizine only. Inspired by his co-admin Tanzoe, Admin. Rin" gathered aspiring otakus around the world to join the team that will create the very first Official Free Digital Anime Magazine called Forezine. Together by just trusting their own abilities to create a magazine without thinking about fame and money, the team worked hard and paid-off by getting lots of sponsors that gave them privileges to expose on conventions, like the Pinoy Otaku Festival held in Alabang, Starmall Philippines organized by Naruto Cosplayers PH gave them their big break to launch the said magazine to a bigger chance of recognition.[2]

The two arranged their partnership during the ToyCon 2014 [3], where ANIME Forever and Forezine staff members were invited as a guest. Another month a month before and the completions starts, The Group Otaku Only Knows confirmed their support to the magazine, followed by Tropang Addict Sa Anime, A Filipino Anime Page. The magazine really gained its popularity with both of the sponsors having 100,000 fans they managed to introduce us warmly.

Until, the movie Black Hat Anime and a Filipino Restaurant with an otaku manager/ Onins Grill and Resto also sponsored the magazine before it was published. As of now, many positive comments are now raging at their website and positive reviews are promised to be coming. It is totally unconfirmed if they will make a second issue for the magazine. Rumors on them finding a publishing company that will support them to produce hard copies are now being discussed.
