Robert Stewart Sherriffs (13 February 1906 - 26 December 1960) was a Scottish painter.[1][2]
Life
[edit]His father was George Sherriffs (22 January 1865 - 9 September 1940), a clerk from Brechin, Angus. He became a Bailie of Arbroath.
His mother was Mary Mollison Carr (13 January 1864 - 27 July 1942) from Arbroath, Angus.
Robert Stewart Sherriffs was born at 28 Nolt Loan Road in Arbroath on 13 February 1906.
He married Vera Victoria Anderson (21 January 1901 - July 1976) on March 1931 at Paddington, London. She had been previously married to Frank Saul Freeman.
He married Elma Greenwood (9 April 1916 - February 1996) in Kensington, Middlesex in 1948.

[edit]He died on 26 December 1960 at Shamley Green in Wonersh, Surrey, England.[3][4]
He is buried in the Western cemetery in Arbroath, Angus.
