Zhenqian Huang (Chinese: 黃鎮乾; pinyin: Huāng zhèn qián; born 1980n Guangzhou ) is a Chinese artist and filmmaker. He lives and woks lived in Lille in France since 2004. During his time in the Higher School of Art in Lorraine in 2010, his works question the path between video art and experimental cinema in the form of image-document through time and space: the disappearance of places, the fragments of memory, clashing with the traces left behind. This is a reconstitution of the memory between the perception of the place and resistant state of mind. In 2011, he moved to the Post-diploma studies of ENSBA Lyon, directed by Jean-Pierre Rehm, the relevant memories is present and reformulates the past reconstructing another reality on the human condition. This artistic intention leads him to Le Fresnoy in 2012: his film Killing A Pig Without Mao was born through a feminist activist letter at the time of the Chinese Cultural Revolution, a curveball that is built between reality and fantasy.
