==Background==
In June 2010, Kesha reveled during an interview with ''MTV'' that she had began starting to think about her second album. While being interviewed she explained that she wanted her next album to be different. She explained, "There's definitely going to be a difference. I'm always changing and evolving and because I write all of my own music it will be reflective of the record. It'll still stay fun and young and irreverent."<ref>{{cite web|url=http://www.mtv.com.au/news/23341d5a-kesha-new-album/|title=The Singer Reveals Details About Her Follow-Up Record|date=2010-06-10|author=Barnett, Sophie|publisher=MTV|accessdate=2010-06-11}}</ref>
