Underminded is a Hardcore band from San Diego, California.

Malenas Nightmare was a Metal band from Chelsea, Alabama. who was one of the fastest upcoming bands in the area with a fanbase growing each day and the band getting more exposure the band had plans to release an EP and to start Touring in late summer but after months of going through severall members and having differences the band later on disbanded in June 2008

History

In October of 2007 Band member Nick Leo was looking to start a new band after the departure of his last band and after taking the whole summer off of music he felt it was time to start a new band and remain as vocalist, Nick decided to get long time friend Elise Priola to join the band as lead guitarist and soon after the two searched for more members and found keyboardist TJ Price, bassist Aaron Alexander and Scott Smith as second guitarist, 2 months after joining the band TJ and Arron left due to having no interest in playing with the band and to pursue other activities during the time Scott was kicked out of the band due to a controversy between Nick and Elise, weeks later they got old friend Tony Pantaloni as drummer the band soon started writing new demos and was preparing to make an ep later that summer, the band released old demo on their myspace witch became popular soon the bands fanbase was growing faster and the band starting having success as the demo reached 40,000 plays in a two week period averaging 5,000 plays a day, 3 weeks after releasing the demo the band was also starting to get noticed internationally and had a chance to be published in a book about unsigend bands in the music scene and Malenas Nightmare was considered as one of the best upcoming bands in Chelsea Alabama, March 2008 after having problems with vocal chords Nick ended up playing bass and Elise decided to do vocals and guitar the band, a week later the band got Damian Burnett as second guitarist and the band continued writing for the ep and the songs had a unique sound to them with different elements of low tuned heavy guitar riffs with hardcore drumming techniques and regular singing, early june the band was half way through writing the songs and had plans to enter the studio in july during that time the band started having different ideas on the material and started having arguments constantly witch lead up to having personal problems with eachother, fighting to make peace things got worse with the band as Tony was leaving to go back to PA during the time when the band was schedueled to record in july Nick and Elise were debating on what the bands future was, Nick Tony and Damian decided that the band should be disbanded after all the problems that occured during writing sessions while Elise wanted to continue on with the band Nick and Tony did not agree to continue and after arguments between Nick and Elise about the bands future the band finally disbanded in June 2008

Later events and new bands

The band posted a blog on their myspace about the bands departure and later on that week the band started getting hate mail from fans upset about the departure and not releasing the ep, month after the bands departure Nick tried to settle things with Elise and gave his opinion about the bands departure Elise stated that "Nick gave up on the band and never gave it a chance" it lead up to more arguments between the two and soon they stopped talking to eachother, Nick also posted another bulletin explaining why the band broke up and also stated "I never wanted the band to break up none of us did but it was a situation where there was nothing else we could do, i did not give up on the band i did everything for the band it makes me sick that things went down the road it want down and i wish things were better between eachother"

In July Nick formed a new band called Savory with Liz Brody the band has been working on material the band is planning on finding members as soon as they finish the demos, January 10th 2009 it was stated by Nick that the band is making big changes and has a lot of plans for 2009

Tony recently joined a band called Backdraft back in his home state PA the band has various shows lined up and is planning to record soon

Reunion?

Even though Nick and Tony are in their new bands old fans ask if Malenas Nightmare will reunite one day Nick stated "you will probably never see Malenas Nightmare again a miracle would have to happen for us to come back together and even if we did reunite i more involved with savory then malenas nightmare" he has also stated "im more concerned about my friendship with elise i do not know if it even exist at this point because she thinks it was my fault the band broke up and its absolutely not true but this should have never happend between eachother and i want to get things back to normal" Nick and Elise hasn't spoken since Malenas Nightmare'd departure back in june 2008
