UTC Power began as a division of [[Pratt & Whitney]] in 1958. UTC Power supplied fuel cells to NASA for the Apollo space missions, to supply electric power and drinking water for the astronauts on board and, later, for the Space Shuttle missions. In the early 1990s, UTC Power was the first company to manufacture and commercialize a large, [[stationary fuel cell applications|stationary fuel cell application]] for use as a co-generation power plant. UTC Power uses [[Fuel Cells]] in addition to other products such as [[Microturbines]], chillers and heat exchangers in order to offer an array of [[On-Site Power]], Transportation, and Space and Defense Products.

Acquisitions

On October 1, 2007, UTC Power acquired NJ based consulting firm, The Dome-Tech Group [1]
