(Redirected from Typhoon Haikui)

The name Haikui ([xaɪ˨˩˦ kʰweɪ˧˥]) has been used for three tropical cyclones in the northwestern Pacific Ocean. The name was contributed by China and literally means "sea anemone" (Chinese: 海葵; pinyin: hǎikuí). It replaced "Longwang," which was retired after the 2005 typhoon season.

The name Haikui was retired after the 2023 season. In 2025, the name will replaced with Tianma which referred in Chinese to "Heavenly Horse".[1]
