Tsvetta Kaleynska (Bulgarian: Цвета Калейнска; born June 19, 1988),[1] better known as Tsvetta, is a Bulgarian author, marketing consultant and a model. She participated in the Miss Diaspora Models International Competition in New York City in 2010.[2]

Early life

[edit]

Tsvetta was born and raised in Veliko Tarnovo, Bulgaria in the family of a university professor and a gynaecologist,[1] both of Bulgarian descent. Kaleynska was named after her grandmother, and her name in translation from Bulgarian means “flower.” In addition to her native language, Tsvetta speaks English, French, Spanish, and Italian. In 2008, Tsvetta moved to the United States on an academic scholarship to pursue her higher education.[1] In 2012, she graduated from St. Francis College, with dual degrees in Marketing Management and International Business and Economics. In 2015, she received a master's degree in Public Administration from the City University of New York at Baruch College.[3]

Career and writing

[edit]

In 2012 Tsvetta joined the Dogs Bollocks 5 as a consulting strategist specializing in social media analysis and market research. In 2015 she moved to Brandwatch as customer success director.[4] In 2019, she founded RILA GLOBAL CONSULTING, a boutique consumer insights agency.

Tsvetta published her first book of poetry, "Flowers From Heaven" in 2011. Her work is featured in outlets such as the national scientific magazine “Българска наука” /Bulgarian Science/, Cosmopolitan magazine[5] and other newspapers and magazines in Eastern Europe.[6][7] In 2014, Kaleynska published her second book: “#TheQueen: Social Media”.[8]

In 2023, Tsvetta Kaleynska published "Историята на Кукерите" ("The Story of Kukeri"), a bilingual coloring book celebrating her Bulgarian heritage. Motivated by a desire to teach her children about Bulgarian traditions, Kaleynska aimed to preserve and pass down cultural heritage. The book features texts in both Bulgarian and English and was gifted to the library of the Consulate General of Bulgaria in New York City.[9]

In 2024, Kaleynska expanded her literary endeavors with a series of children's books designed to promote foreign language literacy. Titled "Sweet Dreams," the series includes editions such as "Sweet Dreams, New York City," available in multiple languages including Polish, Serbian, Bulgarian, Arabic, and Spanish. Other editions in the series encompass global cities such as London, Tokyo, Berlin, Madrid, and Sofia.[10]

Additionally, Kaleynska authored an architectural coloring book series titled “Coloring …, Architectural Wonders To Inspire,” published by Barnes & Noble and Amazon. This series features architectural wonders from countries including Albania, Turkey, Bulgaria, Serbia, Montenegro, Hungary, Poland, and Greece, among others.[10]

Entrepreneurship

[edit]

Tsvetta founded RILA GLOBAL CONSULTING in 2019, driven by her dissatisfaction with the leading social listening agencies worldwide. Since then, the company has spread across seven countries with virtual offices in North America, Europe, and Asia.[11] The company, which leverages AI to analyze social media data, was featured in multiple news outlets such as Forbes,[12] NYPost,[13] Sky News,[14] NewsMax TV,[15] Associated Press,[16][17] Washington Post,[18] Los Angles Times,[19] among others.

Tsvetta's second business, Merse Advisory, helps businesses develop strategies to engage with their customers in the Metaverse. Tsvetta shared she is passionate about "applying cutting-edge AI technologies and the limitless possibilities of the Metaverse to solve real-world business challenges."[20]

Tsvetta has openly discussed the challenges of being a "mompreneur" – balancing full-time motherhood and entrepreneurship. She shared, "Balancing the physical demands of pregnancy, running a business, and adjusting to the hectic lifestyle in New York City was a complex and demanding process," and noted that being a mother has redefined her concept of success. [21]

Televised appearances

[edit]

Tsvetta began her televised appearances in 2008 through the Miss Diaspora International Pageant. Since 2011 she has been featured regularly on national TV shows in her home-country, including “Predi Obed”[22] on bTV, TV7, “Na Kafe” on NOVA TV, TV7, Bulgarian National Television,[23] "Good morning" on Bulgaria ON AIR.[24] Since 2017 she has been a contributor on the national morning show “Na Kafe” with Gala covering topics including the Women's March in NYC, the Bulgarian Parliamentary election,[25] Virtual Consumer Trends,[26] Holiday Trends in New York City and USA,[27] New York City general topics,[28] and others.[29]

In 2024, Tsvetta appeared on Bloomberg TV Bulgaria to talk about Bulgaria's significant presence in the global AI landscape, highlighting the country's talent pool, innovative companies, and contributions to the AI industry.[30]

Awards

[edit]

In November 2014, Tsvetta was awarded a silver Stevie Award in the category “Women Helping Women.” The Stevie Awards honor and generate public recognition of the achievements and positive contributions of organizations and working professionals worldwide.[31][32][33] In 2016 Kaleynska was invited to be the first Bulgarian woman to judge the awards as well.[34]

In 2023, Tsvetta's business, RILA GLOBAL CONSULTING, was shortlisted for the Marketing Week Awards.[35] Later that year, it received a Silver Stevie Award at The Stevie® Awards for Women in Business.[36] Additionally, in the same year Tsvetta was named one of the most influential social intelligence experts by the SI Insider 50 Awards, hosted by The Social Intelligence Lab.[37] She was also a finalist in the prestigious Globant Awards - Women That Build edition, in the Inspiring Leader category,[38] and a nominee for the WomenTech Global Award 2023 in the categories Ada Lovelace Special Recognition Award for Women in ICT.[39]

In 2024, Tsvetta was again recognized as a top social intelligence expert by The Social Intelligence Lab's SI Insider 50 Awards, this time in the Insightful Innovator category.[40]

Modeling

[edit]

In 2010 Kaleynska was crowned Miss Bulgaria Diaspora USA and started her modeling career despite her height of 5’5.[41][42] She has participated in fashion shoots for American and Bulgarian brands.[43][44][45]

Charity work

[edit]

Kaleynska worked with the U.S. Bulgarian Orphanage and Medical Relief Fund to raise funds and deliver medical supplies to orphanages in Bulgaria.[citation needed] Her volunteer work is focused on empowering adolescent girls through GLOW (Girls Leading Our World) Leadership Academy, Bulgaria.[46][47][48][49]

Tsvetta also promotes literacy among youngsters. She is the face of the national literacy campaign “Да напълним Студентски град с книги”[50] under the patronage of Bulgaria's president, Rosen Plevlenliev. In 2013, Tsvetta started her own national literacy campaign - “Tsvetta for the colors of the languages” - aimed at providing foreign language literature to libraries and schools in small and medium-sized communities all over Bulgaria.[51][52][53]
