Justice Gabriel Bigbie (born January 24, 1999) is an American professional baseball outfielder in the Detroit Tigers organization.
Bigbie attended Grassfield High School in Chesapeake, Virginia and played college baseball at Western Carolina University. He was drafted by the Detroit Tigers in the 19th round of the 2021 Major League Baseball Draft.[1] He made his professional debut that year with the Florida Complex League Tigers.
Bigbie played 2022 with the Lakeland Flying Tigers and West Michigan Whitecaps and started 2023 with West Michigan before being promoted to the Erie SeaWolves.[2][3]

michael peña (born September 23, 2004) is a Venezuelan professional baseball catcher and first baseman in the Detroit Tigers organization.
Briceño signed with the Detroit Tigers as an international free agent in 2022.[4] He made his professional debut that season with the Dominican Summer League Tigers. He played 2023 with the Florida Complex League Tigers and Lakeland Tigers.
Briceño returned to Lakeland in 2024 and played in only 40 games due to injury. After the season, he played in the Arizona Fall League.[5][6] He was named the Fall Leagues Joe Black Award MVP after becoming the first player in league history to hit for a Triple Crown.[7][8]

Garrett Sommer Burhenn (born September 12, 1999) is an American professional baseball pitcher in the Detroit Tigers organization.
Burhenn grew up in Indianapolis, Indiana, and attended Lawrence North High School. He was named first team All-State as a senior.[9]
Burhenn played college baseball for the Ohio State Buckeyes for three seasons. He was named to the Big Ten Conference All-Freshman team in his first season after posting a 6–4 record with a 3.96 ERA and 69 strikeouts. Burhenn went 2–2 with an 8.02 ERA and 29 strikeouts in 21+1⁄3 innings pitched over four starts during his sophomore season before it was cut short due to the coronavirus pandemic.[10] As a junior, he went 7–2 with a 3.81 ERA and 91 strikeouts in 80+1⁄3 innings pitched and was named third team All-Big Ten.[11]
Burhenn was selected in the ninth round of the 2021 Major League Baseball draft by the Detroit Tigers.[12] He signed with the team on July 21, 2021, and received a $160,800 signing bonus.[13] Burhenn was assigned to the Lakeland Flying Tigers of the Single-A Florida State League at the opening of the 2022 season.[14]

Jaden Kyler Hamm (born September 5, 2002) is an American professional baseball pitcher in the Detroit Tigers organization.
Hamm attended Columbia Central High School in Columbia, Tennessee and played college baseball at Middle Tennessee State University. As a junior at Middle Tennessee in 2023, he started 14 games and went 5-4 with a 5.31 ERA and 93 strikeouts.[15] After his junior season, he was selected by the Detroit Tigers in the fifth round of the 2023 Major League Baseball draft and signed.[16]
Hamm made his professional debut in 2023 with the Florida Complex League Tigers and was later promoted to the Lakeland Flying Tigers.[17] Over 12 innings pitched between the two teams for the season, he did not allow a run. He was assigned to the West Michigan Whitecaps to open the 2024 season.[18][19]

Chase Alexander Lee (born August 13, 1998) is an American professional baseball pitcher for the Detroit Tigers of Major League Baseball (MLB).
Lee grew up in McCalla, Alabama and attended McAdory High School. He played mostly shortstop in high school and was used as a pitcher sparingly in one season.[20]
Lee enrolled at the University of Alabama after having received no offers to play college baseball. He tried out for the Alabama Crimson Tide baseball team as a freshman, but was not offered a spot on the team. Lee changed his pitching motion to a sidearm delivery at the recommendation of Alabama head coach Brad Bohannon and joined the Alabama club baseball team, where he posted a 7–0 record and a 0.21 ERA.[21]
Lee made the Crimson Tide as a walk-on the following season and posted a 2.67 ERA in 22 appearances with 24 strikeouts over 31+1⁄3 innings pitched. After the end of the season he played collegiate summer baseball for the Bethesda Big Train of the Cal Ripken Collegiate Baseball League and was named the league's Pitcher of the Year after leading the league with 51 strikeouts and seven saves with an ERA of 1.03.[22] Lee was named Alabama's closer going into his redshirt sophomore season and had a 1.64 ERA and 19 strikeouts in five appearances before the season was cut short due to the coronavirus pandemic.[23] As a junior, he was named a third team All-American after posting a 7–0 record with a 1.33 ERA and 51 strikeouts in 40+2⁄3 innings pitched.[24]
Lee was selected by the Texas Rangers in the sixth round of the 2021 Major League Baseball Draft.[25][26] After signing with the team he was assigned to the Rookie-level Arizona Complex League Rangers, where he made one appearance before being promoted to the Double-A Frisco RoughRiders.[27] He finished the season going 0–1 with a 3.71 ERA and 27 strikeouts over 17 innings for Frisco.[28] Lee returned to Frisco to open the 2022 season, going 1–1 with a 2.25 ERA and 30 strikeouts over 24 innings, before being promoted to the Round Rock Express of the Triple-A Pacific Coast League on June 14.[29] With Round Rock, Lee went 1–1 with a 5.46 ERA and 41 strikeouts over 31+1⁄3 innings. Lee was named the Texas Rangers 2022 minor league Reliever of the Year.[30]
Lee received a non-roster invitation to major league spring training in 2023 and returned to Round Rock for the 2023 season, going 3–4 with a 3.98 ERA and 87 strikeouts over 63+1⁄3 innings.[31]
On July 30, 2024, Lee and Joseph Montalvo were traded to the Detroit Tigers in exchange for Andrew Chafin.[32] In 17 appearances for the Triple–A Toledo Mud Hens, he logged a 1–3 record and 3.27 ERA with 31 strikeouts across 22 innings pitched. Following the season, the Rangers added Lee to their 40-man roster to protect him from the Rule 5 draft.[33]

Hao-Yu Lee (born February 3, 2003) is a Taiwanese professional baseball infielder in the Detroit Tigers organization.
Lee played on the Chinese Taipei national baseball team in multiple international tournaments, including the World Baseball Softball Confederation U-12 Baseball World Cup, U-15 Baseball World Cup, and U-18 Baseball World Cup.[34]
Lee was signed by the Philadelphia Phillies as an international free agent on June 15, 2021, and received a $500,000 signing bonus.[35] After signing, he was assigned to the Rookie-level Florida Complex League Phillies, where he played in nine games and batted .364 with one home run, two doubles, two triples, and five RBIs.[36] Lee was assigned to the Clearwater Threshers of the Single-A Florida State League at the beginning of the 2022 season.[37]
On August 1, 2023, Lee was traded to the Detroit Tigers for pitcher Michael Lorenzen.[38]

Thayron Liranzo (born July 5, 2003) is a Dominican professional baseball catcher in the Detroit Tigers organization.
Liranzo signed with the Los Angeles Dodgers as an international free agent on January 15, 2021.[39] He began his career with 21 games for the Dominican Summer League Dodgers in 2021, hitting .250.[40] The following season, he played for the Arizona Complex League Dodgers, hitting .237 in 41 games.[40] In 2023, Liranzo led the California League in home runs (24) and slugging percentage (.562) with the Rancho Cucamonga Quakes, while hitting .273 in 94 games.[40][41] He earned All-Star honors for his 2023 season from the California League, Baseball America and MiLB.com.[39] In 2024, he was promoted to the Great Lakes Loons of the Midwest League and was selected to participate in the mid-season All-Star Futures Game.[41] He hit .220 in 74 games for Great Lakes with seven homers and 30 RBI.[39]
On July 30, 2024, the Dodgers traded Liranzo and Trey Sweeney to the Detroit Tigers in exchange for Jack Flaherty.[42]

Tyler James Mattison (born September 5, 1999) is an American baseball pitcher for the Detroit Tigers of Major League Baseball (MLB).
Mattison played college baseball at Bryant for four seasons. He was named the Northeast Conference Pitcher of the Year 10-3 with a 2.46 ERA and 95 strikeouts over 13 starts.[43] In 2019, he played collegiate summer baseball with the Hyannis Harbor Hawks of the Cape Cod Baseball League.[44]
Mattison was selected in the fourth round by the Detroit Tigers in the 2021 Major League Baseball draft.[45] He signed with the team and received a $400,000 signing bonus.[46] Mattison was assigned to the Single-A Lakeland Flying Tigers at the start of the 2022 season, but suffered a shoulder injury in his professional debut and missed the next 2+1⁄2 months.[47] Mattison finished the season with a 7-0 record and a 5.23 ERA and 46 strikeouts in 32+2⁄3 innings pitched while with Lakeland.[48] He began the 2023 season with the High-A West Michigan Whitecaps and was promoted to the Double-A Erie SeaWolves after posting a 3.42 ERA over 19 appearances.[49]
Mattison underwent Tommy John surgery in March 2024 and missed the entirety of the season as a result. On November 19, 2024, the Tigers added Mattison to their 40-man roster to protect him from the Rule 5 draft.[50]

Troy Edward Melton (born December 3, 2000) is an American professional baseball pitcher in the Detroit Tigers organization.
Melton attended Canyon High School in Anaheim, California, and played college baseball at San Diego State University. As a junior in 2022, he went 5-2 with a 2.07 ERA and 67 strikeouts over 65+1⁄3 innings.[51] After the season, he was selected by the Detroit Tigers in the fourth round of the 2022 Major League Baseball draft and signed.[52][53]
Melton made his professional debut with the Lakeland Flying Tigers, throwing a total of five innings for the season. He returned to Lakeland to open the 2023 season before being promoted to the West Michigan Whitecaps in mid-May.[54][55] Over 23 games (22 starts) between the two teams, he went 3-1 with a 2.74 ERA and 94 strikeouts over 92 innings.[56] Melton was assigned to the Erie SeaWolves to open the 2024 season.[57]

Tyler David Owens (born January 9, 2001) is an American professional baseball pitcher for the Detroit Tigers of Major League Baseball (MLB).
Owens drafted by the Atlanta Braves in the 13th round, with the 397th overall selection, of the 2019 Major League Baseball draft.[58] He split his first professional season between the rookie–level Gulf Coast League Braves and rookie–level Danville Braves. Owens did not play in a game in 2020 due to the cancellation of the minor league season because of the COVID-19 pandemic.[59]
Owens returned to action in 2021 with the Single–A Augusta GreenJackets, struggling to a 7.07 ERA with 17 strikeouts over 6 games (4 starts). He returned to Augusta in 2022, logging a 5–3 record and 5.20 ERA with 67 strikeouts and 5 saves across 32 appearances.[60] Owens spent 2023 with the High–A Rome Braves and Double–A Mississippi Braves, accumulating an 0–6 record and 3.03 ERA with 67 strikeouts over 15 total games (8 starts).[61]
On January 26, 2024, Owens was traded to the Texas Rangers in exchange for J. P. Martínez.[62] In 26 relief outings for the Double–A Frisco RoughRiders, he compiled a 2.80 ERA with 35 strikeouts and 8 saves over 38+1⁄3 innings pitched.
On July 28, 2024, Owens and Liam Hicks were traded to the Detroit Tigers in exchange for Carson Kelly.[63] He made 13 relief outings for the Double–A Erie SeaWolves, compiling a 1–3 record and 3.31 ERA with 20 strikeouts and 2 saves across 16+1⁄3 innings pitched. Following the season, the Tigers added Owens to their 40-man roster to protect him from the Rule 5 draft.[64]

Izaac Kane Pacheco (born November 18, 2002) is an American baseball shortstop in the Detroit Tigers organization.
Pacheco grew up in Friendswood, Texas, and attended Friendswood High School. He was named the 24-6A Newcomer of the Year after he hit .296 with 14 extra-base hits in his freshman season.[65] Pacheco was named the District 22-5A Offensive Most Valuable Player as a sophomore after he hit for a .442 average with five home runs, 15 RBIs, 25 runs scored, and 16 stolen bases.[66] As a senior, Pacheco as the District 22-5A MVP after batting .543 with six home runs, 12 doubles, 45 RBIs, and 41 runs scored.[67][68]
Pacheco was selected 39th overall in the 2021 Major League Baseball draft by the Detroit Tigers.[69] Pacheco signed with the team on July 23, 2021, and received a $2.75 million signing bonus.[70] Pacheco was assigned to the Rookie-level Florida Complex League Tigers after signing, where he batted .226 with four doubles, three triples, one home run, and seven RBIs.[71] He opened the 2022 season with the Lakeland Flying Tigers of the Single-A Florida State League.[72] Pacheco batted .267 with 21 doubles and eight home runs in 88 games with the team before being promoted to the High-A West Michigan Whitecaps.[73]

Dylan Miguel Smith (born May 28, 2000) is an American professional baseball pitcher in the Detroit Tigers organization.
Smith grew up in Stafford, Texas, and attended Stafford High School. He was selected in 18th round by the San Diego Padres in 2018 Major League Baseball draft, but opted not to sign with the team.[74]
Smith played college baseball at Alabama for three seasons. He appeared in 13 games as a freshman and had an ERA of 6.48.[75] Smith pitched 6+1⁄3 innings over four appearances with one start before the season ended prematurely due to the coronavirus pandemic.[76] He became a starter prior to his junior season and went 2–8 with a 3.84 ERA with 113 strikeouts 20 walks in 98+1⁄3 innings pitched across 16 starts.[77]
Smith was selected in the 3rd round of the 2021 MLB draft by the Detroit Tigers.[78] Smith signed with the team on July 26, 2021, and received a $1,115,000 signing bonus.[79]
