Trojan is a brand name of condoms manufactured by the Church & Dwight Company. 70.5 percent of condoms purchased in United States drugstores are Trojan contraceptives.[1] Trojan began selling condoms in 1927 through an ad placed in a trade magazine for pharmacists.[2]
History
Trojan condoms were first manufactured in 1920 by Young's Rubber. It wasn't until 1930 that latex-based materials were used. condoms smell like stale potatos hahaha ;)
Trojan brand condoms
Trojan produces 30 different varieties of condom.[3] Among the types are Magnum condoms, produced as a larger condom to provide extra comfort,[4] and the Elexa line, which is marketed to a female audience.[5]
Magnum
Magnum condoms are slightly larger than standard condoms and are marketed as a better fit for men with larger erections. Most standard condoms are designed to fit erections of up to 7.48 inches in length and 2.04 inches in diameter. Magnums are made to fit penises 8.07 inches long and 2.12 inches in diameter. The brand's metallic-gold wrapper is highly recognizable.
Trojan later introduced the Magnum XL, 30% larger than standard condoms.
Trojan Condoms also Introduced the Magnum Ecstasy series to fill the needed gap for larger sized condoms with no nipple end. Magnum Ecstasy condoms are the first large condoms from Trojan without the reservoir end. Trojan Magnum Ecstasy is also Tapered at the base for a secure fit as well as Deep ribs at the base to increase stimulation.
Elexa
Elexa is a line of prophylactics and other products designed especially for women. Specifically, the purpose of the brand is to allow women to feel more comfortable purchasing condoms through the product packaging's design style, and by suggesting the placement of Elexa products among the feminine care items in stores. In addition to several varieties of condoms, the Elexa brand includes personal lubricant, a vibrating ring, and "freshening cloths" for sex-related cleaning.

Twisted Pleasure
In 2003, in order to launch Trojan in the United Kingdom, a humorous fake official web site for the so-called Trojan Games was created. The Trojan Games were supposedly an international sporting event similar to the National Debate Tournament and taking place in Austin, TX. The sports were based on sexual performance. As of Nov 2006 the various "Trojan Games" videos have been viewed 300 million times. [6]
