The Mirror is an album by rapper Ja Rule. The album was originally planned to be released on November 13, 2007 but was pushed back to an unknown date due to large amounts of leaked tracks from the album appearing on the Internet

Background
Ja Rule stated in a interview that there are seventeen tracks and only a few guest appearances because he wanted The Mirror to be about him.

In an interview with SOHH, Ja Rule commented on the album:

The Atkins Files Vol. 1
Ja Rule has been quiet within music since the album was leaked. However, as a 2008 Christmas present to all his fans, he released the "Atkins Files Vol. 1" on his Myspace page to the public after a lengthy silence. The name is taken from Ja Rule's surname, which is 'Atkins'. The semi-album contains unreleased, never heard of before tracks and several tracks from The Mirror, as he could not sell them due to the massive amount of leaking. It also contains several interview snippets where a woman is interviewing Ja Rule about the reason behind some songs, in which along the lines Ja reveals some information about his future plans, such as a sequel to his debut album, Venni Vetti Vecci.

The 'Vol. 1' indicates that Ja Rule intends to release an 'Atkins Files Vol. 2'. He has already stated that he is currently working on it. It is possibly a promotion for a secret project Ja Rule is working on, as there are rumors The Mirror has been shelved and Irv Gotti is refusing to let any Murder Inc artists release any new material.
