'The Boy Who Dared''''' (2008) is a fictionalized novel by [[Susan Campbell Bartoletti]] based on the true story of Helmuth Guddat Huebner, the youngest person to be sentenced to death by the Nazis during [[World War II]].It all started when Helmuth was a yung boy with a father that left his family and a new govenor was being elected. One was Adalf Hitler leader of the Nazi party. When election day came and the results were ready and Helmuth was at school in his classroom listing to the radio the voice announced Hitler won. Children with Hitler youth uniforms stood up and said heil Hitler. Helmuth's mother Muti celebrated with sausage and onions for Hitler promising Germany jobs, money and peace, but only offered war,killing and pain to almost all. Helmuth Huebner was a very advanced boy who believed the Nazi government was wrong and did all he could to educate people on the true horror of the Nazi government. This boy was also a Latter Day Saint and had a short wave radio to get the facts. So knowing the truth Helmuth printed leaflets to let people know what the Nazis were really doing. Helmuth, was eventually ratted out and was sent to court with his friends who helped him. He made sure that his friends could not get the blame so he sacrificed himself. Helmuth had two friends, Rubi Wobbe and Karl-Heinz Schnibbe.Helmuth's father had left his family so so things had been tough until his mother married a man named hugo which loved the Nazis. his mother was Muti, His brother's name is Gerhard Gustav Kunkel, his Oma's name was Wilhelmina Sundrow, his Opa's namewas Johannes Sundrow, and his other brother's name was Hans. <ref>http://newsnet.byu.edu/story.cfm/41777</ref>
