Template talk:HD/vanish
Text and/or other creative content from this version of Template:Vanish was copied or moved into Template:HD/vanish with this edit on September 11, 2016. The former page's history now serves to provide attribution for that content in the latter page, and it must not be deleted as long as the latter page exists. |
Final
[edit]I don't think this is "final" in that it can be undone.
I've seen it undone in edit logs: There will be edit summaries like "right to vanish" then several months later activity resumes and pages are restored.
Does this need to be added to the template documentation? davidwr/(talk)/(contribs)/(e-mail) 20:31, 27 December 2008 (UTC)
Contradiction of Wikipedia:Right to vanish
[edit]This template contradicted Wikipedia:Right to vanish because it said the user talk page can be deleted when a user vanishes, while the project page says "talk pages are rarely deleted". Right to vanish on meta-wiki says user talk pages can be deleted, but this template should be quoting the Wikipedia page. So I've changed the link from the meta-wiki page to the Wikipedia page (which only existed as a redirect to meta-wiki when the template was created) and removed the mention of deleting user talk pages. I've also added a mention of deleting user subpages in its place, which is allowed. If anyone has any questions or concerns about this, please send me a message on my talk page. Thanks! --Mysdaao talk 19:43, 17 December 2009 (UTC)
