Category:Twitter username different from Wikidata

[edit]

As mentioned at Category talk:Twitter username different from Wikidata, this template makes a wrong distinction between Twitter usernames at Wikidata and article-supplied values regarding their case. -- Michael Bednarek (talk) 09:56, 9 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]

I updated the template so testing for Category:Twitter username different from Wikidata now ignores upper/lower case differences between the username in the template and in Wikidata (for example, AcadiaU in the template would match acadiau in Wikidata). That removed 970 Wikipedia articles from the category. -- Zyxw (talk) 07:25, 28 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Please rewrite the template so that instead of using the secondary domain address, the template outputs the primary domain x.com. Also, consider renaming the template to xsn, x (social network). Anoop Bhatia (talk) 16:21, 2 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Please revert the name of the website to "Twitter" and fix its underlying wikilink since that is where the article still sits. Having the underlying URL go to x.com is fine, but until the article is moved, listing it as "X" is misleading. —Joeyconnick (talk) 04:59, 30 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]
@MSGJ: I second this. Months later, the article is still at Twitter, and the template should be in line with it. Opencooper (talk) 20:44, 8 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]

There's a missing semicolon at line 19. it should be {{[[Template:Twitter|Twitter]]}} Vinickw 16:19, 5 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]
