Naming

[edit]

Should this template be named Template:Student athlete awards instead? Jweiss11 (talk) 19:43, 25 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I was wondering the same thing. Location (talk) 20:24, 25 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]
I am not sure if there should only be awards on the template. Maybe there are a lot of links to related topics that should be included. I left it open ended.--TonyTheTiger (T/C/BIO/WP:CHICAGO/WP:FOUR) 20:25, 25 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

It should certain be renamed to reflect its exclusively North American interest Kevin McE (talk) 20:47, 25 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I am wondering if the term "student athlete" is used outside North America given that the word "athlete" has a different meaning inside the United States than it does elsewhere. Location (talk) 22:35, 25 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Evidently not. Location (talk) 22:49, 25 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]
I am not averse to adding similar international recognitions. This is WP. Be bold and try to improve what I started.--TonyTheTiger (T/C/BIO/WP:CHICAGO/WP:FOUR) 22:50, 25 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I hope that many will get involved in refining this template. I hope it will get as much assistance as I got with {{Professional Baseball}} (my start) or {{Professional Basketball Leagues}} (my start).--TonyTheTiger (T/C/BIO/WP:CHICAGO/WP:FOUR) 00:28, 26 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Theodore Roosevelt Award

[edit]

@Jrcla2, Dale Arnett, and Jweiss11: I was mulling over adding Theodore Roosevelt Award to this template, but I noticed that each of the three of you have edited both this template and that article, so I thought I'd check to see if I'm missing something. It seems like it belongs, do you disagree?S Philbrick(Talk) 20:50, 14 January 2020 (UTC)[reply]
