[edit]

I am re-adding Featured Topics to this template because while it is currently lesser known, it corresponds with the other sections (Articles, Pictures, Lists, Portals). Calabrese removed it because it was 'undiscussed,' however, it shouldn't be removed until there is a valid reason to take it off. -- Wikipedical 22:33, 31 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

not really, the onus is on those adding it to prove this has been put before the wider wikicommunity e.g. as an official proposal, and received overwhelming support, before it is added to a high-profile "front page" on a par with established "feature" items. otherwise anyone can just add their pet project to this page. You are greatly incorrect. Lack of discussion is not a reason for undoing an edit, except for classifying an article. It is clear you are holding a grudge because your attempt to add the other Halloween films to the feature topics were reverted. There is a process you could follow instead. Don't be disruptive to prove a point. Jay32183 01:45, 10 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

please see above. the undiscussed advertising insertions are removed pending further discussion. Calabrese 01:49, 10 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

please read my comments before assuming I didnt read yours. Jay32183 01:59, 10 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Featured topics were proposed over a year ago, discussed extensively since then, and recently supported in an MfD. At least five users, only one of them heavily involved in featured topics that I can see, have (on various pages) supported including topics info here and on the new content template. Several others have continued using and making updates to the templates without removing the featured topics. Only you have voiced objections to their inclusion in the templates. The matter seems discussed and I don't see much room for doubt about the consensus. --CBD 02:05, 10 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]
