Wikipedia:Article wizard is permanently protected from editing because it is a page that should not be edited significantly for legal or other reasons. Article wizard should not overwrite existing drafts

From this diff, it appears the article wizard sometimes overwrites existing drafts. Does this wizard have a maintainer that can look into this possible bug? I think if the article wizard overwrites existing drafts some or all of the time, this is undesirable behavior and should probably be fixed. The Wizard does not overwrite drafts. The article wizard opens a window with the page to be created, and if there is something there it shows that content. If someone chooses to overwrite the content that was already there, that is their problem. Primefac (talk) 17:03, 19 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Add clarification for employees writing about their business

The Common Mistakes page does not make clear that employees writing about their business are considered paid editors and should make a paid editing declaration. I often see drafts created about a business where the editor has merely declared a conflict of interest, implying that they are an employee. Employees merely see the option "I'm paid to edit", which does not obviously apply to them, so they choose the option "I'm writing about myself, or a close person/subject". Automatically add paid/coi disclaimer to drafts

I have created WP:Article wizard/CreateDraftCOI and WP:Article wizard/COIEditingGuidelinesPaid/WP:Article wizard/CreateDraftPaid that use Template:AfC preload/draft/sandbox to automatically add a paid or coi disclaimer to drafts. We could link to these from Wikipedia:Article wizard/HowToDisclose and WP:Article wizard/COIEditingGuidelines to make the disclosure process a little more seamless and to make it more obvious to reviewers.
