Template:WikiProject Korea/doc

This template is used to tag an article as part of WikiProject Korea, and should be placed in the talk pages of all articles related to Korea. The template includes an article assessment for quality and importance, and a related working group within WikiProject Korea may also be mentioned.

Usage

Place {{WikiProject Korea}} on the article's talk page. It is possible to indicate an assessment of the article by including quality and importance as named parameters. For example, a Start-Class quality, Low-importance article is marked by using {{WikiProject Korea|class=Start|importance=Low}}.

It is also possible to indicate the WikiProject Korea working group associated with the article. For example, {{WikiProject Korea|class=B|importance=High|history=yes}} marks a B-Class quality, High-importance article associated with the Korean history working group.

Parameters

General parameters

• class – valid values are fa, a, ga, b, c, start, stub, fl, list, category, draft, fm, file, redirect, template, na (case-insensitive). See the project's quality scale for details. Setting an explicit value of NA is rarely necessary; for this, either leave |class= blank or omit the parameter.
• importance – valid values are: top, high, mid, low, na (case-insensitive). See the project's importance scale for details. Setting an explicit value of NA is rarely necessary; for this, either leave |importance= blank or omit the parameter.

Working group parameters

• architecture – set |architecture=yes if the article is supported by the Korean architecture working group.
  • This parameter populates Category:WikiProject Korea architecture working group. (Inactive)
• arts – set |arts=yes if the article is supported by the Korean arts working group.
  • This parameter populates Category:WikiProject Korea arts working group. (Inactive)
• baseball – set |baseball=yes if the article is supported by the Korean baseball task force.
  • This parameter populates Category:Korean baseball articles, and the relevant subcategory of Category:Korean baseball articles by quality based upon the |class= parameter.
• cuisine – set |cuisine=yes if the article is supported by the Korean cuisine working group.
  • This parameter populates Category:WikiProject Korea cuisine working group. (Inactive)
• film – set |film=yes if the article is supported by the Korean cinema task force.
  • This parameter populates Category:Korean cinema task force articles, and the relevant subcategory of Category:Korean cinema articles by quality based upon the |class= parameter.
• history – set |history=yes if the article is supported by the Korean history working group.
  • This parameter populates Category:WikiProject Korea history working group. (Inactive)
• milhist – set |milhist=yes if the article is supported by the Korean military history task force.
  • This parameter populates Category:Korean military history task force articles, and the relevant subcategory of Category:Korean military history articles by quality based upon the |class= parameter.
• nk – set |nk=yes if the article is supported by WikiProject North Korea.
  • This parameter populates Category:WikiProject Korea North Korea working group.
• pop – set |pop=yes if the article is supported by the Korean popular culture working group.
  • This parameter populates Category:WikiProject Korea popular culture working group.
• skgeo – set |skgeo=yes if the article is supported by the South Korean geography working group.
  • This parameter populates Category:WikiProject Korea South Korean geography working group. (Inactive)
• skpol – set |skpol=yes if the article is supported by the South Korean politics working group.
  • This parameter populates Category:WikiProject Korea South Korean politics working group. (Inactive)

Additional parameters

• unstable – set |unstable=yes if the content of the article is unstable and prone to edit wars.
  • This parameter populates Category:Unstable Korea-related articles.
• needs-photo – set |needs-photo=yes if the article requires photo.
  • This parameter populates Category:Wikipedia requested photographs in Korea.
• listas – This parameter, which is the equivalent of the DEFAULTSORT sortkey that should be placed on all biographical articles, is a sortkey for the article talk page (e.g. for Cha Seung Baek, use |listas=Baek, Cha Seung so that the talk page will show up in the B's and not the C's of the various assessment and administrative categories; similarly, for topics with titles beginning with an article such as "the" or "a" - e.g. for The Greatest Love, use |listas=Greatest Love, The so that the talk page will show up in the G's). This is important because it is one source used by those who set DEFAULTSORT on the article; consider also setting the DEFAULTSORT for the article when setting this parameter.   If the article is using {{WikiProject banner shell}} then it is preferable to add |listas= to that template instead of a project banner template. Putting the parameter on more than one template is not required.
• category – set |category=no if, and only if, a banner is being used for demonstration or testing purposes, to prevent unnecessary or undesirable categorization. Otherwise, omit this parameter.
