Parameter Explanation
name Insert the full spelling of the name (defaults to {{PAGENAME}} if empty).
image Insert a relevant image for the name.
image_size The infobox automatically resizes images to the user defined thumb size (default 220px). Normally this does not need to be defined to another size.
caption Insert image caption, which should describe the image used.
romanisation Insert the Romanisation(s) of the name if not originally written using the Latin alphabet. Separate multiple entries with a line break (<br/>). Parameter romanization can be used for articles that use American English spelling.
pronunciation Insert the pronunciation(s) of the name. Separate multiple entries with a line break (<br />).
gender Insert the gender of the name. Use either Feminine, Masculine, or Both.
masculine (If the name you are using in the 'name parameter' (the first one, above) is feminine, insert the masculine form(s) of this specific name.
feminine (If the name you are using in the 'name parameter' (the first one, above) is masculine, insert the feminine form(s) of this specific name.
language, language2, language3 Insert the language(s) of the name. Linking is automatic causing 'English' to be displayed as 'English'.
name day Insert the date and country of the name day of the name. It should be in [[MONTH DAY]] (COUNTRY) format. Separate multiple entries with a line break (<br />).
languageorigin Insert the language(s) of origin. Separate multiple entries with a line break (<br/>). Note that this option ties in with the next 3 options.
origin Insert the origin of the name. This should be an unnecessary field if both 'region' and 'language' are used.
derivation Insert the derivation of the word listed above. (<br/>).
meaning Insert the meaning(s) of the name. Separate multiple entries with a line break (<br />).
region Insert the region(s) of origin of the name. Separate multiple entries with a line break (<br />). In addition, link each region to its appropriate article if possible.

alternative spelling Insert the other spellings of the name. Separate multiple entries with a line break (<br />).

related names Insert name(s) that are related to the name in question. Separate multiple entries with a line break (<br />). In addition, link each name to its appropriate article if possible.
seealso Insert the names that might not fit the into the 'other names' options above.
popularity Inserting anything for this field will enable the link to the Popular names article.
footnotes Insert footnotes or references regarding the information given within this infobox. Separate multiple entries with a line break (<br />).
