Rename

[edit]

Maybe this article shouldn't be named for Uyesugi, but instead called something like "1999 Xerox massacre": that's really the subject, not the (otherwise unencyclopedic) Uyesugi. Other than a move, the opening paragraph would need to be tweaked to reflect the "new" subject. Note that I'm not suggesting splitting Uyesugi and the shooring into two articles. -- Finlay McWalter | Talk 21:20, 20 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Webpage Dedicated to Murderer

[edit]

Maybe the page should be edited so that it doesn't look so much like it's dedicated to the life of the murderer. It looks like, "Here is a list of the people he killed, and here is all about his childhood." Is the murderer really the center of such a tragic story? Are the victims really just side notes? —Preceding unsigned comment added by XgenX (talkcontribs) 02:47, 14 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Rename?

[edit]

It's typical for articles on crimes like this to be named for the city where they took place. As such, I advocate renaming this article "1999 Honolulu shootings". If there's no objection, I'll do the rename on Monday November 8. DS (talk) 01:47, 4 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]

No objections made; rename implemented. DS (talk) 04:14, 9 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]
