Article name

[edit]

I am confused. Why is the article located at "Bombadier" when every mention in the article is spelled "BombaRdier"? Should the article be moved? -Phoenixrod (talk) 18:38, 29 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I just submitted a move request. -Phoenixrod (talk) 22:43, 12 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

a bit wrong

[edit]

This sentence:

Wells continued to fight, having eight more bouts, winning five and losing six. His last fight was in April 1925.

Is clearly wrong... someone know the truth? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Marchin Man (talkcontribs) 09:21, 9 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I've fixed it to match the fight record table, which I assume is correct. (Lordjim13 (talk) 16:38, 27 August 2021 (UTC))[reply]

“He bought himself out of the Army”

[edit]

How do you do that? I thought it was officers that purchased commissions. Some clarity needed. 2A00:23C7:E284:CF00:EC34:8C48:66BA:306 (talk) 22:32, 2 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Generals

[edit]

According to the record posted here, Wells boxed a number of Generals, including one when he was still an enlisted man. One of the later ones even knocked him out. Is this right?? Generals tend to be past their physical prime. More info, please. 2A00:23C7:E284:CF00:EC34:8C48:66BA:306 (talk) 22:40, 2 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]

I was wondering the same thing and I think this is a typo instead of "Gunner", which is what e.g. Gunner Moir is actually listed under. I've just gone ahead and changed it (and fixed some links)... (Lordjim13 (talk) 16:41, 27 August 2021 (UTC))[reply]
